"I had a great stay at the hotel, and all eas good. I an however slighly annoyed at the fact that on my last night someone managed to enter my room, the hanover uses a key card system which i imagined to be fool proof but as this happened i am a little suspicious - also annoyed at the fact it was taken so lightly by the staff. Another thing which i found usefull was luggage storage, i had to check out at 11am but my train wasn't untill 6pm so the fact i could leave my heavy bag in a secure room and collect it whenever was great for me giving me freedom to explore holyrood park." - Ian Marshall

"Very central hotel to princes street, hotel staff were excellent, always willing to help, if you arrive early facilities are available to store luggage. Residents lounge just what you need at the end of a long day, lovely and relaxing. Room great with continental breakfast in fridge, so you can eat when you want, though a small table would be nice so that crumbs don't end up over the bed. Towels and linen were replaced every day, excellent value and a great hotel for visiting Edinburgh." - christine palmieri

Situated in beautiful Rose Street, less than a minutes walk from Princes Street and within 5 minutes from Waverley train station, the Bus Station and the conference centre, making us the ideal choice for shopping trips, sightseeing and business guests.
Rose Street was built during the Georgian period as part of the New Town area of Edinburgh. Originally the building that has become the Hanover Hotel was the office for a bank, but in 1999 Waugh Taverns Ltd. bought the building and turned it into the hotel we have today. The Hotel was refurbished in March 2006 making it an even more attractive place to stay.
Rose Street is famous for many a pub crawl with a pub every few yards for almost a mile. This narrow and lively street is now pedestrians only, and has many food outlets, smaller shops and access to some of the big stores.

We are situated in beautiful Rose Street, less than a minutes walk from Princes Street and within 5 minutes from Waverly Train Station, the Bus Station and the conference centre.
Travelling by car, we are located at 37/43 Rose Street, Edinburgh, EH2 2NH. Metered parking is available in George Street or in one of the NCP car parks at Castle Terrace or St. James Shopping Centre.
The Edinburgh International Airport is 8 miles from the city centre and can be reached by taxi, shuttle or bus.
Lothian Buses operates an express bus service - Airlink 100 - between the Edinburgh Airport and the city centre.
The ticket cost is £3 for a single and £5 for an open return. Tickets can be brought from the information desk at International arrivals or online. The journey takes approximately 25 minutes and terminates at Waverley Bridge, near to the main railway station and bus station and is just off the city's main street, Princes Street.
