"Badly in need of renovation and felt dirty eg grafitti carved on bed boards, cigarette burn holes in bedspreads, broken/marked old sanitaryware, old electrics. Noisy location with no sound insulation so expect disturbed sleep. One night is about as much as you could take... suggest you only use if you are on a very tight budget..." - Anonymous
"Really aweful place. the room smelled of smoke and the windows could not be opened. I couldnt take a shower in the morning as I was too disgusted by the bathroom. If you decide afterall to stay there, be careful if you get there at night by public transportation - it is definitely not a safe area of brussels!! btw it takes more than 30 min to get to de brouckere (city center) by tram." - Anonymous
"To close to rail track, trains very busy and noisey" - Paul Wiltshire
"The hotel was very old, so it looks dirtier than it really is. In fact I found it pretty clean. But there is fungus growing from the walls, one shower, no baths. The room I stayed in had a bidet and sink, but no plug for the sink. In fact, the receptionist explained that guests stole the plugs, so there were none available. I was allowed to use the shower, but I got the feeling that they would have prefered that I not use it. With a bit of work this hotel could be at least avaerage, but it's going to cost the owners some quite a bit of money. It's saving grace is its cost, which for Brussels is low. Use only if there is really no where else to stay. " - Anonymous
