"Peppers Seaport is a terrific hotel, modern and stylish. The rooms are very generous in size. We had one river view room, that has a sitting area with a big sofa & large TV, fridge etc and a view over the river, and a river view suite that was very large. The suite was more 'apartment style', with a balcony facing the river, large kitchen (complete with dishwasher, toaster, washing machine & dryer) and dining area, plus a separate bedroom.
The only slight negative was that some previous occupants of our room had smoked & this left a bad smell in the room. Also, across the river is a small factory which was a little noisy in the weekday mornings. But being on the river is lovely.
There's also an excellent bar & restaurant downstairs, Mud, which I highly recommend. Service throughout the hotel was excellent.

Opened in April 2004, Peppers Seaport Hotel is a stylish and contemporary waterfront hotel, delivering a new and vibrant Launceston experience. The hotel is located on the North Esk River and only a 5 minutes walk from the CBD. The hotel offers 60 rooms and suites, all suites have balconies either looking out over the river or back over the historic town centre to the mountains beyond.
Peppers Seaport Hotel takes its character from this thriving waterfront location. The hotel is built on the site of an old dry dock and has been designed in the shape of a ship. The interiors reflect the nautical history of the site and use local Tasmanian materials wherever possible. The public areas are lined with old black and white photos of Launceston harbour in reverse - a touch of history with a stylish modern twist. The décor is luxurious and contemporary nautical in style, using soft, light colours, natural timbers and chromes.
On the ground floor of Peppers Seaport Hotel, Mud Bar and Restaurant is a fresh, modern venue offering an eclectic mix of cuisines from around the world. The wide range of wines including, of course, superb Tasmanian offerings, is available by the glass.
Overlooking the marina and North Esk River, guests have a choice of inside or year-round outside dining with captivating Tamar Valley views. Soft-furnished seating and lounges provide a relaxed, café style environment. |

Launceston CBD is 15 km from the Airport, 100km from Ferry Terminal in Devonport and 200km from Hobart. A shuttle bus and taxi service operate from the airport. Costs are approximately $10.00 & $27.00 respectively.
Driving from the Airport is by the No 1 Highway to Launceston:
Follow No 1 through to the City. At the 2nd set of lights the road will continue on as Bathurst Street. Proceed 1.5 km and on the left is the Seaport Precinct, turn left into Homepoint Boulevard. Peppers Seaport Hotel is located at 28 Seaport Boulevard.
Alternatively, we are able to arrange for transfers to the property. |
