La Principessa Hotel, recently opened and family-run, offers you a relaxing atmosphere in a lovely setting, enhanced by handmade terracotta floors and traditional Tuscan furniture. The pleasant apartments are immersed in the warm colors of antique materials used in the traditional Tuscan style, with chestnut wood beams, terracotta roofs and floors, and walls painted in soft natural colors. For a vacation in Tuscany, La Principessa, a country house in the antique style, is a unique spot only a few minutes from the majestic ancient city of Cortona. La Principessa Hotel is a perfect choice for its enchanting beauty and peacefulness, as well as for its convenient location. Many of the most interesting sights of Tuscany and Umbria are within 30 minutes drive. Returning to the hotel after a busy day of sight-seeing, you will be welcomed by the serene setting, complete with services for a revitalizing and restful vacation.
Although we do not have suites or rooms specifically dedicated as "non-smoking", they are free from smoke smell due to the lack of wall to wall carpeting (moquette) as well as frequent airings. |

From Florence or Rome, use Terontola or Camucia Station
From Perugia, Assisi or Terni, use Terontola Station (with some trains stopping at Camucia)
La Principessa is a few kilometers from either of these two train stops, which are in foothill neighborhoods of Cortona.
From the state road (strada statale) turn west on the road opposite the gas station/Melone Hotel which has signs leading to the hospital and several small villages such as Fratticiola. We are on the right hand side; turn in to the tributary road where the (former) water park is and drive past the indoor tennis courts (green, large), veering to the right, and that is where you'll find us. |

Children are welcome, we have plenty of lawn area for play as well as sand pits for volleyball and a wading pool. The two bedroom/two bathroom suite is recommended for a comfortable stay. For the 2 bedroom suite, a child sleeping in the second single bed is included in the price. In the case of a second child needing an extra bed or the use of the sofa-bed, a supplement of 14 Euro is added. |
