"This hotel is in an excellent location just off the main market square, they were expecting us when we arrived and check-in was simple, the room was tiny, in fact it was miniscule. the sheets and the bathroom were nice and clean but there was a layer of dust on the kettle, the staff were not the friendliest I have ever met,the breakfast was good, there was a slight query over the deposit we paid when we were checking out but this was soon resolved when an english speaking member of staff was found. If you want a reasonably priced place to stay then the hotel is fine but check the size of the room when booking.Bon- voyage! Bruges is a beautiful place although expensive to eat well." - Anonymous

Hotel Description:

Our centrally located family hotel was renovated in January 2006 and offers a personal service. In this listed monument you can enjoy a visit to Bruges in a cozy atmosphere.

Hotel De Tassche is placed very central at 50 m. from the Market Square and is within walking distance from all the places of interest of Bruges but also next to the main shopping streets.

In 2006 the hotel was completely refurbished. The charm of this historical building (hotel since 1782) was kept but the cozy room are equipped with all the amenities one expects in a three-star hotel, were decorated in a personal style and radiate a warm feeling.

In the morning you can enjoy an extensive continental breakfast buffet. From 11.00 am until 10.00 pm drinks are served at the reception and in the summertime you can enjoy the view of the Belfry on our sidewalk terrace.

Getting There:

Travel / Location: By car: On the highway E-40 Brussel-Oostende take the exit Oostkamp. From there, follow the signs Brugge.

You will then come to the Katelijnepoort. There you enter the city in the Katelijnestraat. This street changes its name into Mariastraat and then turns right at a pedestrian zone. Here the Oude Burg begins. At the foot of the Belfry you will then see Hotel De Tassche. You can park in the front for 10 minutes to load and unload.

By public transport: From the trainstation you can take a cab to our hotel (about 10 euro) or each bus that goed to the Market Square (about 1 euro p.p.). Since Hotel De Tassche is located at the back of the Belfry (the highest building on the Market Square) it is easy to find us from there.

Car Parking:

We recommend parking in the underground parkinglot "Het Pandreitje" which is located around 150 m. from the hotel. Rate per 24 hours : 8.5 euro.
