"We grabbed a cheap $105 p/night deal on [your website], which gave a standard room facing the road. The room was nice and bright with a king bed but definetly not worth the $355 p/night normal rate!It is a very old place that has been done up. Also any room that faces the road has to deal with the train line directly across the road and trains come past every few hours all through the night and day so beware! My advice would be to pay a bit extra for the valley view which is definitely worth it not just for the view but also for the peice and quiet. Not many places to eat around the hotel, and breaky was not worth $18 you pay for it. go to Blackhealth or Katoomba lots of little cafes to eat at in the morning. Dinner was nice in the hotel but expensive as you'd expect, very nice staff around the hotel but a few of the reception staff need some customer servie skills. Overall I probably would go back there again, alot of other nice hotels around that were much nicer and alot cheaper. " - Anonymous

"My wife and I really enjoyed the stay at the Hydro Majestic (although it was foggy the entire weekend and we could not see anything outside our "valley view" room). Great food, nice people and really interesting to see such a old hotel still in business.
