"New hotel - room facilities are therefore good. Cheapest double room was nice, but cramped. Location in Rome is not Central - a 20 minute metro from centre. Nothing else at hotel is ready - only the rooms. Would recommend however due to price and cleanliness. Staff helpful also." - Ian Findlay
"Outdoor breakfast was very poor (1 croissant p/p),hairdryer was missing; inspite of promises it never came.At arrival minibar was missing too.Credit card payment was not possible yet.Bathroom facilities very poor,no shelves to put stuff on.Mirror/Shower installed too low for persons with normal length. Jet system not ready, swimming pool neither. Very dangerous step at entrance. The brand new Strand Hotel has 25 rooms distributed over three floors, all equally furnished with a functional and elegant design, charmingly paved with parquet floor and equipped with valuable comforts such as lcd tv, mini-bar, air conditioned/heating and private bathroom.
Third floor rooms have got a typical inclined wooden ceiling which gives an additional touch of style.
Special features at the Strand Hotel include an outdoor swimming pool (seasonal) with sun terrace and a refined cocktail bar, that will ensure both business and leisure travelers an enjoyable and relaxing stay in Rome.
The subway line will quickly and effortlessly take you close to the major sights of the city, including San Giovanni in Laterano, the Spanish Steps, Piazza del Popolo, St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museums.
The hotel is brand new (open on the 3rd of april) and breakfast is not available yet. You can enjoy a nice breakfast (not included in the rate) in the BAR situated just in front of the hotel.
