"Clean room but slightly mouldy bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff. Brilliant location, five minutes walking from Agia Sophia, in a quiet side road. Two cons: Rates to Go website says the room has air conditioning, but the room didn't. [Hotel manages own info on this website - we are following up with hotel] Management shrugged their choulders at that saying the weather wasn't hot anyway. The room was also quite dark. Overall, a mixed bag. Pleasant enough to stay for a few days but don't expect anything remotely near the three and a half stars which the hotel awarded itself. "We were quite disappointed that the way the room was advertised (and which therefore influenced our decision to book) did not match up to reality. The following, which were advertised as being a part of room, were not provided: sea views, mini bar, hairdrier, aircon, and cable/sat tv (at least not judging by the poor reception). Even more surprising was the toilet inside the shower cubicle! This was a nuisance as well as not very hygienic. We were told this had to do with the side of the building we were on (ie. the historic side). At night, the lighting in the room was extremely dark as there was only one wall mounted fixture. The room was on the small side. The toilet had a weak flush and there were mouldy patches at the base of the shower door. Our feedback is that it is important for management to be honest about ALL the rooms' facilities. Reception staff, on the other hand, were friendly, helpful and polite. Despite the good price, we are not likely to visit this hotel again." - Anonymous

"people were very friendly,the place is clean and service prompt.
Great location.Somewhat nosy as cleaning service works night shift outside hotel.Close to all public service and eateries.Also shuttle service to the airport is handy.
