Retreat to Paradise
In our self contained, air conditioned studio apartments. Port Douglas Retreat features traditional North Queensland architecture with the extensive use of timber in the entry, walkways and pool surrounds. Built on only two levels The Retreat blends in with the tropical gardens that attract native birds and butterflies. Facilities include a spacious outdoor entertainment area with barbecues under a gazebo surrounded at night by gas flames. Perfect for couples or the single traveller.

Conveniently situated in a central location just 300 meters from the center of the enchanting Port Douglas Village and a short stroll to the beautiful 4 Mile Beach or Marina Mirage.

Not only are we affordable, our studio's offer you total privacy and comfort. Why settle for a queen bed when we offer our guests the added comfort of a KING SIZE BED. Twin bed studio's are also available. Our guests can also enjoy FREE SATELLITE TV. After a day of exploring the region, you return to this peaceful oasis and relax on our huge poolside deck, have a cool drink and possibly a barbecue whilst surrounded by romantic mood setting gas flames dancing in the night air. Go for a swim in our large freeform salt water pool which is solar heated in winter.

Getting There: Drive North from Cairns along the Captain Cook Highway for approximately 60 kilometres. Turn right at the Port Douglas sign then drive about 5 kilometres and turn left into Mowbray Street and we are the second building on the left.
Check-in Procedure: If you are arriving outside of normal office hours please ring us the day before check in for instructions on how to obtain your keys. If this is not possible just pick up the phone near the entrance and you will be automatically diverted to the manager who will give you instructions on how to obtain yours keys. A credit card imprint or $200.00 cash bond will be required on check-in.
Car Parking: Free limited undercover security parking on a first in basis. Plenty of free street parking.
Child Policy: 0-2years free ($7.00 per night if cot required) Over 2 years $20 per night with child sleeping on a rollaway bed.
