"The Salamanca in situated in a prime position, close to cafes, shops, the harbour. The Salamanca Markets are less than a minute away. It is attractive and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would return for a stay and recommend it highly." - Cath Curtis
"Excellent place. Just next to Salamanca Place and Harbor.
If you stay during the weekend, it may be a bit noisy, though. At least for us, as we kept the windows open during the night." - Anonymous
"front of counter staff great - v. efficient & friendly. Cleaning staff not the greatest. Location fantastic but the decor & design is looking a little tired for the price. " - Josephine Tanham
"Well appointed room. No air conditioning for summer - just a cheap pedestal electric fan. Double glazed windows that also opened reduced noise and heat from outside. Room included computer but problems with hotel's internet connection caused problems connecting and internet extremely slow. Swimming pool/spa great. Decor excellent - beautiful original paintings on all floors. Bar very pleasant - service in bar excellent & bar attendant had great knowledge of Tassie wines. Reception staff extremely helpful & pleasant. Parking good but confused when checking in about getting into the building. Dropped by airport shuttle bus. Couldn't see how to avoid steps - didn't know to enter via car park directly into reception area. Needs better signage at front. Great for Salamanca Market/Place. Road outside closed & noisy early hours Saturday morning!! " - Annette Marslen
