located in the Chinatown, 10 minuts walk from Central Station. Hotel facilities are kinda "antique" . with the price for it. you can't expect too much!

We had a good stay here the staff were very helpful and friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel is well situated near the city centre and Darling Harbour. Best to book a room at the back of the hotel as road noise is loud at the front.

Had a nice clean room with bath and a great sized shower. Would have preferred the room to be warmer and did ask for help to make it so. Also had one light bulb burned out and asked to have it replaced and same evening desk clerk said he would replace it and never did come to room. There were 4 steps leading down to another level where our room was and no ramp for the registration person to transport our bags except by hand carrying it, which he did, There were no face washclothes either. I guess Aussies just rub the bar of soap over their bodies to bathe. The guests could get their own towels off of a cart left in the hall. All in all it was not a bad experience had my sister and I not been sick. Actually I would stay there again. Cleanliness is the most important.

I did complete a questionnaire at the Hotel and handed it in. We had Room 126...When I was initially researching hotels for the time period the rate showed from memory @ $157 per night...Through the 1300 number I got it or $99 per night. I was not impressed with what we got. 1) Room has no noise muffling. All night long, banging cars screeching, truck deliveries, bin emptying. No sleep in the two nights we stayed. 2) Furniture in room must have been 60 years old...Fridge didn't work until I worked out it was turned off in fridge...3) Shower would scold you then freeze you. I was concerned if you had a child...4) Two pieces of wood nailed together and painted as a bedhead...5) Noise within hotel from other guests celebrating a hens night. Iwas not impressed and will not stay there again.

Great hotel with lots of Character (rooms were not the design that I am used to but considering the history of the building great use of spaces, great location close to Central Station and within walking distance of Darling Harbour and other attractions. Lots of asian eating experiences in the neighbourhood. The food court in the mall across the street is wonderful.

Our room was clean and comfortable, if small and without a window. There are a number of rooms on the inside of the building of this kind, with a skylight way up high and lacking a window. There is an advantage in that such rooms are very quiet with absolutely no street noise. The hotel is in a good location, within a short walk of Central Station and right on the edge of China Town, Paddy's Market, Power House Museum, Darling Harbour, etc. Great for a night, but if staying longer pay for a larger room with a window.

The location was excellent (close to all the facilities) but the visit was spoiled by the level of noise from the outside traffic experienced each night. The room was very tiny but clean and provided the basic needs for a weekend visit to Sydney. Would stay there again.

Aarons was good value for money. It was clean and well appointed for an old heritage building in the budget area of accommodation. The rooms came with flat-screen TVs and DVD players, coffee making and fridges. The hotel was in an ideal position to access Market City, Central Railway, the monorail to mid-town CBD and Darling Harbour, and the Light Rail to Star City. There was good parking at extra cost nearby. The rooms were a little noisy at night due to deliveries to building projects close by and street-cleaning traffic. The staff were very helpful and polite at all times.

The Aarons Hotel is tired and old, but had the cleanest rooms we have ever stayed in, the staff were very helpful and friendly, and for value for money on a budget holiday it is excellent. the area around the hotel has lots of restaurants to suit all pockets, and wonderful darling harbour is only a ten minute stroll!! We would stay there again.

Great location on the fringe of Chinatown - easy access to Sydney attractions. Good price - but you do get what you pay for - an older style hotel - a couple of grades better than a backpackers but not to the comfort/luxury standards of the bigger chains. Perfectly adequate for our needs and a comfortable bed.

The service desk was friendly and helpful. A really great location, on the doorstep of Chinatown and opposite Paddy's market. Basic accomodations but fairly clean. Rooms not very sound proof, can hear lots of noise in corridors and surrounds, ok for deep sleepers like me... Price was ok.
