Abba Sants Hotel Barcelona

A friend I was visiting in Barcelona suggested that I stay at Abba Sants because it's close to transportation and in a good neighborhood. What I found was better than I could have imagined! The room was perfect! It was modern, large, well equipped, good air-conditioning, with lots of drawer and closet space. The bathroom was also very large and well-designed, everything new and clean. The staff was courteous, helpful, and informative. The lobby was large and comfortable, the bar and restaurant very nice. Transportation by metro and train was only steps away from the hotel. I was able to get to every destination in minutes. The neighborhood felt safe and there were many cafes and shops nearby. I was pleased to find that the Diagonal was only a few blocks away. I will definitely stay there again when I return to Barcelona.

Decent hotel. 3-4 star. About a 100 ft. walk to the metro, which was excellent. Good value hotel for Barcelona. There is a dog park out back, which is amusing if you like dogs, but could be annoying if you're trying to siesta mid-day.

Excellent location as we just took the train from airport to Sants station and hotel is easy 5min walk. We had room on 7th floor with large balcony that overlooked city !!!! so ask for room on 7th floor. There is a great pastry shop across street for breakfast for about 10 euros. Hotel is in very nice location and we walked 1/2 mile down to Pl Espanya train station to catch train to Montserrat (a must do day trip) Also take funicular to the old fort on top of the hill near Olympic park for a great view of the city of Barcelona.

The hop-on-hop-off bus terminal is 5 minutes away.

Hotel is just a short walk from the main train station which was great for us as we arrived and departed by train. It's away from the main tourist area so rates are reasonable but the main sites can still be very easily accessed via public transport which was located right outside the door. Felt like we we stay more in the suburbs so we got to see more of the 'real' day-to-day life in Barcelona and had a couple of great meals at local bars. It was clean and met our needs perfectly - I'd stay again.

Very conveniently located close to main railway station (5 minutes walk) with a metro station outside main door. Staff very willing to assist. Well-priced.

Exellent service. Close to main railway station, and metro to city centre 5 minutes. Like other hotels in Barcelona breakfast 15 euro nearby coffee shops reasonable. wil definately stay there again.

Very hospitable staff and an ideal location

The Barcelona Sants railway station is the one used for travelling into the rest of Spain. Abba Sants Hotel is only 5 minutes walk from this station. We easily trundled our cases the short distance. Access to the Metro is just steps away. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are really comfortable and clean and the inclusive buffet breakfast was a tempting and tasty feast. We felt that this was excellent value and look forward to another stay one day soon!

We stayed at Abba Sants Hotel for 3 nights last August 2006 and arrived at the hotel just about noon time, after a tiring 14-hour train trip from Santiago de Compostella. The receptionist was very helpful and give us the requested room with one big bed (a very nice, relatively new and quite spacious room) and and that we were able to check into the room immediately. The Hotel is very well situated - about 4-minute walk from the train station, and there is a metro entrance right in front of the hotel. There are a number of small cafes around where we can enjoy a very nice cup of caffee con leche and a croissant every afternoon. All in all we had a very nice stay at Abba Sants Barcelona.

The staff at Abba Sants were delightfully polite and helpful. The breakfast is definitely not to be missed. It is very clean, on arrival we realised we'd been allocated a smoking room and they did their best to accomodate us on the non-smoking floor. Taxis, dinner bookings, plug converters etc... were all part of the service with a smile. So long as you are happy to be slightly out of the main action, there is a tube close by- this is a fabulous hotel.

Helpful and courteous staff. Excellent food and big breakfasts. Some back rooms do have an unfortunate view overlooking a middle distance "homeless" sleeping ground, but does not impringe on hotel life.
