Very convenient location to walk into city. Car parking in basement handy, but very narrow. Lovely to have a cafe onsite. Enjoyed our stay. Thankyou.

i carelessly left my cellphone in the room on the day i checked out and hours later after i realized it, i went back there and they helped through out finding my phone back. i am still impressed.
I was very impressed by the standard of presentation and cleanliness which along with the excellent service I encountered from each staff member (check in and 2 cleaning staff) made my stay easier and more enjoyable
The Abel Tasman is a good hotel in a good location.
The staff were very efficient and friendly and the room was very clean and neat - and very important - you had enough tea, coffee and hot chocolate - which helps if you have to work through the night - which I had to do.
Handy to several attractions in central Wellington, the Abel Tasman, although forty or more years old and lacking the bells and whistles of the newer and more expensive places, is scrupulously clean, the rooms reasonably spacious, the beds clean, comfortable and warm, the staff friendly and polite. The adjoining bistro does a limited but excellent quality menu for dinner, a formidable array of different things for breakfast and some pretty decent beer. Staff here are friendly and attentive. Well worth staying if you are in the budget range.
Good value - but a lot of street noise. Would be nice to have real milk in rooms not that horrible long life stuff.
Good hotel for its price. Very good location. Friendly staff. If you look for *** or **** accommodation, do not look any further. We loved it
Enjoyable stay for 3 nights, value for money.
Very comfortable, quiet, easy to get to and from. External pausing on arrival by car the first time is a bit daunting to an out of towner.
Well located and within walking distance of Cuba Street and other places. Large room with basic facilitiies. Room did not have an Aircon but had an electric heater, thankfully it was not too warm outside. Would like Wifi access to be included in the deal. Will stay there again.
Everything was OK except walls a bit thin
Average to good room in a very central location with good service at the front desk and a great restaurant. Value for money. I'd stay here again.
Definitely good value for money, especially the HOT, full breakfast. I recommend better pictures for the sight though, as I almost didn't make a booking based on them. We will stay here again, and will recommend it as well.
chair in room too low for work table, or work table too high - not comfortable to work at with a laptop. Otherwise great stay, great staff, very clean and well presented room. will stay again.
An old favourite of mine with a recent 'once over lightly' spruce up (paint & carpets not much more), its appeal is its location ... very central if you need to be in the city. Staff seem friendly enough and helpful ... unable to provide a morning wakeup call though. A good option for the price if all you want is a bed, a shower and an average feed.
We were very impressed that this reasonably priced hotel was centrally situated, comfortable and very clean. Well done Able Tasman I would definately stay there again
Nothing special here, your basic mid-range hotel. However, there's nothing to complain about either. I thought the room servicing was above average. Rooms a decent size. Service was fine. Older building with slow lifts and no aircon, but it is in good condition for its age and an efficient old heater was provided. This is NZ, aircon really isn't needed any time of year! The only quibbles I had was that that they was no chair for the desk in my room and the shower pressure was quite low. It's not very exciting, but not expensive and I'd stay there again.
Very handy to central city. Would stay there again.
