Wonderful hotel with a great location and excellent service at the front desk. Easy walking distance to all the sights in Barcelona. Very clean and very roomy for a European hotel room. Stayed at Grupotel Gran Via before cruise and preferred Acta Atrium Palace by far. Jacuzzi could have been a little hotter but spa amenities were still very enjoyable.
Good location, spacious room but facilities a bit outdated, noisy room (noise from a school backyard and metro)
great hotel. Service and staff were very good. Indoor pool is a little tiny. Good location quite close to main tourist streets.
This was a great hotel. It well located close to the centre of the city, but far enough away to be quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful.
it was a good hotel with pleasent staff who made u feel welcomed. There were nice touches like a choc on ur pillow at night etc. Would recommed & stay in this hotel again.
Very good location close to Pl. Catalunya and the top of the Ramblas...clean and area felt very safe. Hotel had a pool in the basement but the "pool" description is a bit overstated ...more like a big bath than something suitable for swimming in. If you are booking or paying for this hotel because of a pool and want some exercise swimming...forget it. Also, another word of caution...we ended up on a top floor with permanent noise from the aircon units on the roof....the hotel were very friendly and did relocate us, but when booking best get it right in case there aren't options. Overall, nice and professional staff, clean, and convenient.
i would be great if you could make a cup of tea or coffe in the room otherwise very good hotel.
We spent five nights in this luxury smallish hotel at the beginning of November 2008. It is well located in a splendid avenue ( Gran Via), a maximum 10-15 minutes walk from Plaza Catalunya and the Ramblas (who cares about the down-market Ramblas anyway, except for a stroll to see the fruit market ).Our third-floor room facing onto the avenue was triple-glazed (no traffic noise whatsoever) and extremely well planned, furnished in modern chic style, with a gorgeous marble bathroom, lovely towels, etc etc. We enjoyed the spa area (small swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi). The reception staff were genuinely helpful and friendly. My only tiny gripe was the price of breakfast served in the room , so we ate our croissants in the small coffee shop in the lobby, at a third of the price. For those (probably slightly older) travellers who prefer a bit of peace and quiet and do not mind spending a bit more for a quality few days, this hotel is ideal.
Staying at the Apsis Atrium Palace Hotel was a wonderful experience at the end of our holiday. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The room beautiful and well appointed. And the restaurant had the best food in all of Spain. A thoroughly enjoyable stay!
Hotel could offer more food options for children, otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definately revisit both the hotel and Barcelona.
A good location, just outside the old town and convenient for the Ramblas. Breakfast expensive at 16 euros but there are plenty of good cafes in the vicinity. Internet access from rooms is also costly, but use of the business centre is free.
The hotel is located 5 minutes walk from a metro station and is 10 minutes from Las Ramblas. The swimming pool and sauna are great after a hard day's work. Will definitely stay there again when I am next in Barcelona.
Great location - breakfast excellent. Have stayed on two separate occassions and the rooms on the 4th floor are in better condition than the rooms on the 6th Floor. Noise from the school is not excessive and the rooms at the back are very quiet.
great hotel in the centre of the city. We walked everywhere even to the port. Ask the front desk on where to eat. maps are easy to read the only down fall is not a lot of people speak english, we only spent 3 days in Barcelona which we found was long enough
In all a very good experience of a hotel we surely would consider returning to.
We stayed in the Apsis Atrium Palace for one night last week (February) and found it to be a very pleasant hotel. Amenities include a swimming pool, jacuzzi, steamroom and a convinient lounge/coffee/bar area. The hotel is in a very good location within the centre of Barcelona, close to Las Ramblas & other shopping streets and was very good value in relation to other hotels with equal or less facilities.
Very central hotel in the hub of the city. Ideal place to stay if travelling solo. Small coffee/resturant bar.
Great location for all the sights. The room was small for the price, but had everything we needed. Our room overlooked a school at the back of the hotel. The noise from the children playing was very loud, even with the windows shut, and it became very annoying after a while. Make sure you get a room to the front of the hotel.
Very good though the walls are paper thin! Nice hotel nonetheless.
Excellent service. Arrived at the hotel needing a ticket to the Barcelona Football game that evening and within no time they had a ticket for me.
