Unfortunally, our 2nd day at the hotel my husband and I got mugged out side the hotel. The hotel needs security.
Clean, comfortable, excellent location, close to the airport. Perfect for the business and leisure traveler.
Great hotel and staff. Room was modern and bath were very clean except quite stark. Be careful of the bath / shower as it is very slippery when wet. Also, be aware of the hot and cold shower settings as they seem to have a mind of there own. I wonder how many people have fallen when entering the hotel with bags as there is a short step down that blends into the lobby floor that one needs to be aware of. If one likes to sleep on a slab of granite, then you will enjoy the mattress . It is stiff with no give and I mean no give! Our friends had the same experience in their room as well.
It is a good budget hotel for BCN. We were on a room only option but didn't take the breakfast at the hotel instead there's a shopping mall nearby where we got coffee, croissants and freshly squeezed orange juice for 10 EUR total. A few design faults with the hotel (I work in construction industry). The entrance has a step almost immediately as you enter the building. Twice my foot slipped and did damage to my back. The fact that there's hazard tape on the floor highlights that there is a known hazard and should be rectified but nothing is done. the bath has corian worktop on the edge. The shower screen is mounted in the centre of the worktop. When showering - water accumulates on the worktop and spills over onto floor - which creates a slip hazard. The pool has no ladder only a ramp-very slippy- I fell getting out of the pool. There is no fridge in the room and the safe doesn't work. But for £24 per person per night for Barcelona - can't really grumble but just watch your back!!
Great hotel and only a half hour Metro ride from the middle of Barcelona. Definitely recommend.
Modern hotel very clean, service is good and the location is 10 minutes from the airport but away from the city centre, Pricing was reasonable, and a positive side is that internet is free, On the minus side, certain areas starting to show wear and tear, like the carpet in the corridors full of stains, also the food in the restaurant is below average and breakfast was not that brilliant, the choice is very poor, but the service is good, OK for a cup of coffee and a plate of cereals,
Pros.:- Shuttle bus service to/from the airport by a very friendly and obliging driver. Car Parking. Excellent location,near shopping mall. Cons. None.
Major noisy highway 25-50m away from pool area, and approx. 1500m to the beach. Very good shopping in the area: Carrefour supermarket is a 5min walk and a large shopping mall with Mercadona supermarket is a 5min walk. It takes 15min to walk to the train station, and then 15-30min (depending on conditions) to get to the Barcelona city centre.
We only spent one night here but found it to be an excellent stop-over hotel at only 10 mins fro airport.
The hotel is very nice! Cant fault it really apart from there are no decent bar or food facilities at night! The biggest problem is the location of the hotel - it is quite a way from barcelona. It is a good twenty minute walk to the train station plus it takes a further 50 minutes by train to central barcelona. The train doesnt run back to Casteldefells past twelve which is annoying and means you have to get a 40 euro cab back or the night bus which is a nighmare - it takes an hour and a half and isnt a very pleasant experience.
The room was not available at 4pm to check in. The safe did not openned (maybe safe's batery too low) and the hotel take too long to open it, arround 2 hours.
The hotel is really nice, luxurious and clean. The only thing that I didn't like is the slow wireless internet connection and that the hotel is not easily accessible on foot. Apart from that, I believe that this hotel worths its money.
I and my family were truly satisfied with the choice we've made.This hotel met our needs.It's not far from Barcelona,this marvelous city,that is worth to visit,you have 1 good shopping mall 5'walk,easy access to train or bus,40' to the city.Good food,good room and service.****,you know.I look forward to enjoy this hotel again,very soon.
