Acta del Carmen it’s a newly opened hotel with its four levels still maintains the original façade according to the buildings history. It’s a modern, cosy and functional hotel all in one. Located in Valencia’s old part of town, called El Carmen, is two minutes away from the cathedral and the miquelete, five minutes from the Central Market, the Silk Market, the financial district and the most important commercial area. It’s also placed within the cultural environment since is near the IVAM (Valencian Institute of Modern Arts), the San Pio V (Museum of Modern Arts), the Benlliure House Museum, etc…. The hotel is directly placed in front of the river Turia, offering a beautiful sight from its terrace, being its antique river bed one of the reunion spots for sportsmen, such as runners, cyclists and walkers. It’s also became the spot that unites the future Valencia’s zoo together with the City of Arts and Science, the Opera Palace and is also next to the harbour and the America’s world cup.

Getting there:The hotel’s recommendation is to go on foot everywhere since it’s ten minutes away from the city centre o any other part of town.

Perfect location in the old town, just to the west of the Torres de Seranos. Nice old building but thoroughly renovated inside: the rooms are fairly spacious, with unfussy modern decor. Good standards of cleanliness. Friendly reception staff, who all spoke excellent English. A good deal overall. Note that breakfast isn't included: it is 8 Euros per person extra, although to be fair there is a big sign pointing this out near reception, so no-one should be in any doubt. It is a reasonable buffet breakfast and probably worth the 8 Euros. Roof terrace cocktail bar is pricey, but very handy for watching the fireworks if you are there for Las Fallas or one of the other fiestas.

Very friendly staff and provided best help for visitors to any city we have visited. Great location and higly recommended - will definately stay at hotel again when visiting the city
