Acta Splendid Hotel Barcelona

Hotel is very conveniently situated and we found the staff excellent. We had been recommended by friends and would now be happy to add our recommendation as well.

Reception is very warm and friendly. Given very good advice on places of interest and good food recommendation. Room is very big, cosy and clean. Hotel is very convenient as it is just 5 mins away Universita Metro station and 15 mins walking distance to Las rambas, Pl Catalunya and other places of interest. I would recommend a restaurant nearby - El raco at Ronda Universitat 11, beside university. 5* rating restaurant with very cheap and nice food.

Great location, near the university. Only a 10 minute walk to La Ramblas. Also close to one of the hop on hop off tour bus stops. Lots of cafes near the hotel. The hotel staff were very friendly and gave us a very good induction to Barcelona on our arrival. The hotel has free internet access. The rooms were spacious but the mattress hard.

Room was very good for a 3* with big beds and a marble bathroom with double sinks. Location was just 10min walk from centre. A little pricy and didn't include breakfast but we did go in peak season so price was to be expected. Would stay here again.

Location was nice, close to the Ramblas and metro station. Further we stay there for a good enjoyment.

The staff were excellent and it was spotlessly clean.

I found the hotel staff very friendly and helpful. This is a small hotel so it does not have the amenities of the larger ones. It is ideal for visiting the centre of Barcelona and I was able to visit most of the attractions without using public transport. I couldn't speak more highly about the place.

Excellent location and well priced.

I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. In a good location, clean, pleasant and polite, but when leaving the hotel for the city centre exit left then left again - this takes you a quicker and I believe safer route to Universitat square.

Perfect location and big rooms. Best hotel I've stayed in compared with hotels in same price class in London, Prague, Budapest and Paris.

Good location, central but not on a main street. Opt for the street-facing rooms, even if you're a quiet-loving person. The double glazing is sufficient and the infacing rooms open to internal courtyards. The rooms vary in sizes, I had a smaller one but it was an excellent stay. Small bathtubs, but full bathroom and facilites. I would highly recommend!

I had a lovely stay. The hotel is well located, clean, pleasant and comfortable.

great location! 10 minute stroll to the ramblas and placa catalunya. never had the breakfast as there was a good wee cafe across the road for breakfast. decent sized room. we were at the front and it wasn't too noisy. walls were a bit thin, but hey thats the way they build them in europe. we would stay here again. all that and Celtic got a draw in the nou camp as well!

The staff, especially the reception staff, were very friendly and helpful at all times. Breakfasts were very extensive and generous.

A very comfortable, modern hotel in central Barcelona. Better than its 3 star rating although the rooms are rather small.
