"Reception is very warm and friendly. Given very good advice on places of interest and good food recommendation. Room is very big, cosy and clean. Hotel is very convenient as it is just 5 mins away Universita Metro station and 15 mins walking distance to Las rambas, Pl Catalunya and other places of interest. I would recommend a restaurant nearby - El raco at Ronda Universitat 11, beside university. 5* rating restaurant with very cheap and nice food. " - Anonymous

"Great location, near the university. Only a 10 minute walk to La Ramblas. Also close to one of the hop on hop off tour bus stops. Lots of cafes near the hotel. The hotel staff were very friendly and gave us a very good induction to Barcelona on our arrival. The hotel has free internet access. The rooms were spacious but the mattress hard." - Anonymous

"Room was very good for a 3* with big beds and a marble bathroom with double sinks. Location was just 10min walk from centre. A little pricy and didn't include breakfast but we did go in peak season so price was to be expected. Would stay here again. " - Sarah Worth

SMALL FUNCTIONAL HOTEL recently refurbished in February 2007. Perfectly located in the heart of the city. the Splendid is one of the best hotels in its category. Rooms are widely equipped (from minibar, free wireless internet acces to a wide range of toiletries).

Excellent buffet breakfast available at 14 euros per person.

BUS FROM THE AIRPORT STOPS AT 200 METERS: The Aerobus leaves the airport terminals every 12-15 minutes. You must stop in Plaça Universitat.
