Great hotel for the price. Good location, very good breakfast and extremely friendly and helpful staff. The room was a little small but as you spend most of your time out of it, it doesn't matter. Great location.
room neede a spare pillow Tv could not get chanel5 Shower was in a state of collapse and only just workable by hand Breakfasts were superb and made up for all little nagatives
Tv pickup a bit variable 4 night stay in two different rooms ( 2 nights in each) a bit of a nuisance Overall quite acceptable
This hotel was exactly as advertised. My son and I were visiting London as part of a 2 week vacation in the UK and were looking for a hotel that was located close to the Underground system in Central London at a good price. We did not need or except any extra services and the room was small but functional with clean room and a small ensuite toliet and shower. We did not have much hot water in the shower one day, but this seemed to be the exception as our other 3 days were fine Service both in the breakfast room and at the front desk was attentive and personal. The front desk clerk was keen to provide us with tips of location to visit and maps, one of which included a coupon to receive 20% off the entry fee to a number of popular London attractions. This hotel was what was advertised and what we expected. A small hotel room, but clean and a great location to Paddington train and tube station.
The bathroom along with the room smell bad and I also find some hairs in my bed.The blanket was not so clean. The location of the hotel is excellent and the breakfast is very good compared to what I pay for this shotel. You can choose this hotel if your main criteria is the location and the price of a hotel.
This hotel is in a great location, just about 5 mins walk from Paddington Station. The staff are very friendly, and the breakfast is great. Some of the facilities let it down though. On our first night there was a problem with our room so we were given a room in the hotel next door, which was lovely. When we eventually saw our room the next day, it was less than desirable. It was quite shabby, and although pretty clean, it didn't look very nice! The bathroom had a terrible smell, which may have been due to the fact that it was a prefab stuck into the room. It was tiny and looked like something from a caravan. The TV aerial wasn't actually plugged into anything, we had to put it on a coathanger and hang it off the window to get a signal. We don't know what any of the other rooms are like, but if you can, avoid room 8! Otherwise it's a very cheap hotel in a great location, and if you just want somewhere to sleep, it's grand!
Hotel was average London standard. Small room and even smaller bathroom. But need and clean. Breakfast was okay. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Perfect location. Would recomand the hotel to anyone. Would stay there again
well pleased with this hotel very friendly good breakfast very close to railway and buses would stay there again
Clean, cheap and comfortable
Great hotel. Location is perfect, 5 minute walk from Paddington Station and buses from the street. Staff were very friendly and helpful. If you want somewhere to stay for a day, week or more in London that does not cost a fortune and is comfortable then this is it.
The bathroom and shower could have been cleaner.
Comfortable bed and breakfast very conveniently situated close to Hyde Park and access to Heathrow Express.Staff foreign and friendly athough proficiency in the english language was average at best.English breakfast served daily in small room in the basement unless the delivery boy failed to appear or the kitchen broke down which happened one morning.Rooms are very small and beds/bedding are old and worn but clean.Would stay here again due to great location but not recommended for older travellers with bad backs as there are no lifts and stairs are narrow and steep.Certainly superior to the [other hotel] next door which was very run down and in need of immediate refurbishment.
The room was basic but comfortable. Only criticism is that there were not insect screen on the window. Stairs are steep and narrow. Ask for a ground or first floor room. We would stay here again because it is quaint, quiet and so close to Paddington Station.
Good hotel with nice breakfast
A very good hotel in London with nice breakfast.
The location is good, but there are a lot of hotels at that area also. I will recommend you to shop around first
squeaky floor keep next door awake, shower patched up with sticky plaster.ceiling light flickered but would not stay on .tv unwatchable. breakfast full english?? not very hot
Good location, very close to Hyde Park and tube. Room was a good size for the price but floors and bed were creaky.
Ordinary but great central location. Basement room that was too hot had to keep window open all night. Lumpy bed. Staff were nice. Good breakfast.
Nice breakfast, serviceminded staff but very small rooms, creaky floors and tiresome stairs(no elevator). Convenient to tubes, buses and trains.
