Agumar Hotel Madrid

The hotel is close to Atocha train station. We were able to take the train to Segovia. The trip is long but we did not change to a different train. The only problem with the hotel is that we did not see any place to eat nearby. Our friend has to go to the train station to eat breakfast because it cost 15 EURO to eat in the hotel. I will be happy to stay there again. I it is very close to the park and you can take buses in front of the hotel.

The hotel was very comfortable, and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job. I only speak English, so the staff was very competent, if not overly friendly. The location was close enough to Atocha station that all of our day trips were very convenient. The bus practically stopped on the doorstep. A grocery and several bars were close. My only complaint was the street noise, but I don't know if any hotel in central Madrid could do better.

Location is great, near the Metro, Atocha Renfe Station and Retiro Park. Hotel is 4 star, clean and adequate. Street is busy. Thought the staff were a bit 'cold', could have been more friendly and helpful.

Overall good value and great location. I got a smoking room even though I requested non, but I am okay with that. The staff was super polite, I overslept way pass check out time, I got a phone call at 2 pm asking if I am checking out very politely, and when I did check out, no charge and no comment on being late. The hotel is a little older, but for the price, it was great. Will definitely recommend.

Great tourist location. Close to major sites and train station. Room on the small side.

The room itself was very nice and clean. I forgot my toothbrush and razor and I got both for free (which I was able to use for the rest of my trip). However, you could hear EVERYTHING from the other rooms. Also, at 7am the cleaning woman walked into my room (WITHOUT knocking) and woke me up and just slammed the door without a word. When I called the front desk to find out what the heck was going on, they couldn't tell me anything.

Found the staff welcoming to visitors not speaking english. All questions asked of reception staff was answered. We were only in Madrid for one night, but were told the best places to go to see this city at night, also where to take the hop on hop off bus. This Hotel is within easy walking distance of the Train Station.

We stayed at the Agumar as an extra night with a Globus tour of Spain, and I cannot understand why they would use this hotel. Compared with all of the previous hotels that they had used, this was a "dive". It is old and worn-out, the staff are surly, and the location is near nothing (except for the all-night disco right next door). The food at breakfast was quite good, but the view from our window was of a back alley and some six verandahs of a block of home units. In three words - really, really, basic.

Excellent if you want to use the AVE train at Puerta de Atocha

The accomodaton itself was very good. However, this hotel was part of same group of hotels that our Barcelona hotel was linked with, and some services that were free of charge at Barcelona were not included at Madrid eg you were chargred a daily fee for use of the room safe and wi fi internet incurred a daily fee. The staff were not particularly friendly.

Very close to the museums and botanical gardens.Easy walk downtown...Furniture and tv could be updated as well as upholstery but ok otherwise. I had three course dinner and wine for 22euros..

Location was very good, close to Retiro Park, short walk to metro. The breakfasts were fantistic, great choice of hot and cold food. Dinner was very good again a good meenu selection and catered for children too.

Excellent, top notch hotel near two metro stations and Atocha main station within a few minutes walk.

Located on a very busy main road so constant traffic noise plus nightclub under hotel is very noisy at kicking out time.

My stay at Agumar hotel,Madrid was a nice experience.It would have been better if there were more English tv channels and also pressing irons provided in the rooms. The location of the hotel was very good.

Enjoyed my short stay in Madrid. The hotel was close to the Metro. My room had a great view. The desk staff were very helpful. The food was delicious. I thank you for your hospitality.

Wounderful staff. Short way to the city centre. Not far away from the tube

No information in the room until asked for. The room felt gloomy - poor lighting - and a bit seedy. Staff pleasant though and the breakfast was excellent.

The wireless internet rates were too expensive.

Convenient for my business in Madrid. Friendly helpful staff. Reasonable price.
