Ajax Hotel Amsterdam is a two star hotel situated in the centre of Amsterdam, just between the 2 most visited places in the city - Rembrandtsquare and Damsquare. The view from the front of the hotel is one of the most beautiful in the city, overlooking the Amstel canal,Allard Pierson Museum, and the beautiful Hotel De l'Europe Ajax Hotel Amsterdam is just a short walk (9 minutes) from Central Station. The hotel is in the middle of all the tourist attractions including the Van Gogh Museum, the Anne Frank House and a wealth of pubs and discos.The Kalverstraat, Amsterdam's most famous shopping street, is right behind the hotel. Hotel Ajax is a perfect choice for business people also, as it is possible to move very easy and fast through Amsterdam by the public transport. Especially the Rai Exposition can be reached very easily as tram number 4 stops in front of the hotel and takes you straight to the Exhibition center without any stops over. All rooms have a private shower, toilet, television and radio and a safe. The safe costs EUR 2,50 per night. There is a minimum stay of 6 nights during the IBC exhibition in September! There is also a minimum stay of 5 nights from December 27th-January 4th! Prices do not include the 5% city tax. Cancellation must accure 72 hours before check-in date. For a cancellation that occurs later, the hotel may charge the guest for the duration of the minimum stay.

(www.schipholhotelshuttle.nl) They will bring you from Schiphol Airport to your hotel every 30 minutes (between 6.10 and 20.10 hrs). Fares: One way: € 13.50 Return: € 22.00 Children under the age of 10: free of charge Taxi: 30,- / 40,- euros depends on traffic. I stayed there for a night with a friend. We had a twin room which was quite spacious and clean. The location was a very good choice!
I would stay here again. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. Facilities would be 5 out of 5 if our room had tea and coffee making facilities – it cost €2 per cup at reception from a machine, similarly internet access was available at a cost of €8 per day but only at reception. We were permitted to take our own food into the breakfast area to eat, which was a pleasant area to sit in with a view overlooking a large canal and main street area. The room was a bit noisy at times, the noise coming from other residents, but this did not disturb us too much from sleeping at night, we didn't need to complain. Also we needed to sleep in the afternoon after being out late at night and this was possible without disturbance. Overall a pleasant place to stay.

No AC in room, simple room, simple breakfast. A bit expensive for a 2 star hotel. However, an excellent location right in the centre of Amsterdam.
Hotel location was great in the center of town, with access to train, bars and places to eat. Red light district was within walking distance and smoke shops everywhere.
I thought the hotel was clean and tidy. The staff were helpful and friendly. Location is within walking distance to Dam Square, Rembrantt Square, shops and Red light district. For the price I don't think there is anything better in Amsterdam!

Good location; a mere 10 mins walk from the Central Station, and the Hotel is beside a tram line. Rooms are a wee bit small.
Ok if you are looking for a base in central Amsterdam, would suit people on a tight budget who aren't too bothered about luxuries.
This hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would say the rooms are basic however, but if you need somewhere 'cheap and cheerful' I would say this is a good place, being about 6 or 7 minute walk from the central station, not far at all really.

The hotel's interior is very basic but the staff are very polite and helpful. The central location makes it easy to find your way around the beautiful city of Amsterdam.
