Akama Resort is one of those unique five star properties that stand out from the rest. We are situated away from the hustle and bustle of the main accommodation strip and conveniently located opposite the Hervey Bay Marina where all the transfers for whale whatching and Fraser Island depart.
We offer to you, unrivalled luxury and space not often seen in holiday accommodation. We have one, two and three bedroom and penthouse apartments with king, queen, king split single beds, all apartments have 2 bathrooms.
All apartments have very large spacious living area''s and balconies much bigger than most, 106cm plasma Tv''s, 66cm LCD''s in main bedroom, stereo, DVD player, three high speed broadband outlets per apartment and free Austar. Full size concertina glass doors open the width of the living area bringing the outside in.
Large market umbrellas and sunlounges fringe the beautiful heated sparkling pool and spa, the large bbq area has tables and chairs under-cover with male and female toilets and showers.
Our higher levels and penthouse apartments have uninterrupted views across the Great Sandy Straits to Fraser Island.
The kitchens are stylish and more than well equipped. We believe all the little luxuries count and have included coffee machine and sandwich makers in some apartments, come and see the fish that swim up the side of the building.

625 Esplanade crn Miller street, Drive along Boat Harbour Drive (about 5km) till you come to the roundabout at Elizabeth st (Woolworths Supermarket).Continue straight ahead till you come to the Esplanade, turn left then left again in 300m into Akama resort
Plane: The Hervey Bay Airport Shuttle meets all flights in and out of the Fraser Coast airport
Check-in Procedure:
All guests are required to register at reception and provide credit card details & photo ID as security for payment of accommodation and additional expenses such as phone, tours, etc. Check in is to be prior to 6pm, Mon. - Fri. & by 3pm Sat & 12.00 pm Sun. Car parking:
Each apartment is allocated one/two numbered secure car parks under the complex. All additional car/boat/bike parking must be co-ordinated with management and is at their discretion.
