Aladdins Motel is a boutique motel consiting of 19 self contained motel apartments. Our rooms are very spacious, beautifully appointed, quiet and clean. They have an ultra comfortable queen (double) bed, microwave, spa bath and masage head shower, dining table and chairs, settee, heating and electric blanket. The centre of Palmerston North is the city square and we are located just over 1 km from the square on Main Street which is the main road running into the square. We are only 2 kms from the Palmerston North International Airport. We are centrally located within a shopping centre which has every amenity that a guest may require. This includes 2 supermarkets, hairstylist, stationers, 2 full banks, 3 ATM's, Post Office, dentists and most shops that anyone would require. Parks and children's play area within 300m. Opposite is the Rose and Crown, an Olde English Pub and an award wining cafe. A modern new upmarket restaurant is only 80m opposite. Within 100m are 2 top coffee lounges and we have 2 major supermarkets and a top Chinese restaurant/takeout at the end of the block. There are also 2 Pizza chains at the end of the block. Overall, Aladdins is centrally located for all food requirements. We are around 1km from the main public hospital and close to the private hospitals. Friendly personal service is assured from the resident owner / operators.

Getting there:Travelling by air, we are just over 2 k from the airport. Drive out of the airport, turn left into McGregor Street, left at the lights into Milson Line and continue along into Ruahine St. Third set of lights is Main Street and we are on the right of that intersection. Travelling from the East. Come through the Manawatu Gorge to the first set of traffic lights. We are on the left through the lights. Travelling from the North, you will come into the city by Rangitikei Street. Come right down to the city square. Go around the square to your left and Main Street runs off the square 1/4 of the way around the square. We are 3 blocks along Main Street on the right hand side. From the South, travel to the city square and go around until you come to Main Street and we are 3 blocks along from the square.
Check-in Procedure:Our reception is open from 1pm ( 1300 hours) for Check in and we close at 9.30pm (2130 hours). As part of our check in procedure, guests are required to produce a current credit card. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT REOPEN AFTER CLOSING TIME FOR LATE ARRIVALS. WE ALSO OPERATE A 24 HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY.

State of bathroom around skirting let the cleanliness of the unit down.
Not a bad place, but good do with a make over.
Great place to go if your staying in Palmy ... i recommend it :)
Was a nice little set of units plus i got a family sized room which was so good .... my family loved it and the smaller rooms have all you need including cooking if you want to do your own Close to city, supermarket and some restaurants for english or chinese
Excellent room for price. Better facilities than expected. Disappointed in pillows, too thin and hard.
Very satisfactory for the overnight we were there. Apart from the pillows were like piklets and no hairdyer.

Very friendly and helpful operators, a good walk from the centre of town. Good adjacent shopping area. Handy to airport. Sound proofing from upstairs units would be good.
Friendly staff, helpful with pointing out local ammenities and attractions. Had a task to do the day I booked out where I needed a shower later, an offer of the use of one of the units to clean up even though booked out says it all.
Very friendly service and real handy to restaurants etc, easy to find and access.
We were pleased that we had our rates to go deal as the normal tarrif for this motel is definetly way over the top for what it offers.Bed is small and not very comfortable and to be told we had to wash and dry any dishes we used or it would be extra,we thought "rude".
The location was very central with places to eat nearby. We enjoyed the Rose & Crown hotel opposite for reasonably priced meal which was tasty. The motel itself was fine but the decor needed some work and had limited viewing on sky tv.
Room was pretty basic, not worth even reduced rate. TV was too small for room,and available channels limited. Spa bath also very basic
Nothing flash but comfortable. No ventilation in the room so steam couldnt escape anywhere. Location was very good. Was reasonably priced for what you get. Would stay there again.

Aladdins was fantastic. Basic accommodation but very nice. The showers are awesome. Was a bit worried it would be noisy being on a main road but we didn't hear anything all night. Lovely staff!! Very central to everything. Would definately stay again.
Clean, comfortable, well serviced. Spa bath good to have. Not all channells on TV but wasn't there that much. Didn't get morning paper consistently. Relatively quiet and easy access to all Palmerston North activities. Close to shops and food outlets.
The unit we had was very basic, we would not reccomend it to anyone
