Alay Hotel Benalmadena

The Alay was excellent..This is the second time we have stayed there and would definetly stay here again.This time we visited we took our friends and they enjoyed the stay as much as we did. The cleanliness, the friendly staff, the food is the best around !! See you next year !!

Great location close to the port, staff very helpful & friendly.

Nice hotel, great location but the rooms could do with a fridge and more UK TV channels.

This hotel was a 4 star hotel but maybe in spain but not in ireland, the staff were friendly and helpfull, the hotel was right by the marina in benalmadena, and everything is near by.

This hotel was ideal , only a few yards from the beach and the Marina , very clean , would stay here again

Upon arrival at the hotel we were very apprehensive after reading some of the comments made about the hotel. Although it is dated and could do with an uplift, this is not what makes the Hotel a 4*. I think on ocassions people see 4* and assume luxury but the star rating is based on location and facilities not just decor. The location of the Hotel was excellent and the view amazing. I would certainly recomend the Hotel for this alone. Also, there were a few reviews on the food being cold, we live in Spain and the Spanish do not eat their food piping hot, this is an English trait, however, there was a microwave to the rear, so no problems.

We stayed in this hotel for the last week of August. It's a super location as it is right on the port so we didn't need to hire a car. The breakfast was very good. We found the decor of the bedrooms need updating and the air-con wasn't functioning properly.

A fine hotel with fine bedrooms, excellent restaurante service and superb location.

Excellent location for people with children as most places that I/my children wanted to go to were nearby. Enjoyable no hassle holiday.

first time my wife and myself have stayed at alay hotel. we found everything to our satisfaction. breakfast excellent, service ,cleanliness and staff most helpful, we will certainly stay there again.

Hotel very centraly located for the marina area. Under 5 minutes walk takes you to the beach. sea facing, of a good size although I consider the decor a little dated. Hotel lobby large and reminded me on first looking of a large former Eastern Block hotel. Room allocated was Breakfast was reasonable - coffee provided from jugs (nice one unlike most hotels who now use machines). Choice was reasonable from cheeses, hams, salamis, yougarts, eggs etc. Hotel parking in the car park was "free" or included in the price which was well worthy. I would saty at this hotel again providing the price was reasonable.

Excellent location for beach port & nightlife, very helpfull staff.

Well placed for access to marina, with great facilities ideal for a long weekend. Can be noisy at weekend, but not excessively. Breakfast was excellent.

Excellent hotel and facilities at affordable prices. Rooms were excellent, location is central. Staff are freindly and english speaking and the charges were as stated on the Internet booking. Would stay there again.

Nice rooms with balconies in a great position by new Marina. Very clean and comfortable, breakfast with an excellent choice. Staff very friendly.

Included breakfast buffets were exceptionally good.

The Alay Hotel is ideally situated adjacent to the magnificent Benalmadena marina. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in the sun and will definitely be returning to this hotel.

I was very satisfied with the hotel in all respects and shall be staying there next time I go to benalmadena.
