Albatross Motel Napier

Nice motel. A bit noisy being on the main road (although ear plugs were offered) Good view over estuary. Nice to be away from main town centre. Close to cafe's and bars. Room was adequate for two and provided enough cooking facilities should you wish to use them.

Quiet peaceful motel only problem was that one night smokers were sitting on the deck and smoke was getting into our room.

An average value-for-money motel, good location, clean.

Very conveniently located for entry and exit from Napier. Visitors obviously have trouble with the continuous hot water but the system can be mastered if the instructions are followed cafefully. Very friendly service and clean facilites.

This motel is a bit dated in the building construction, so you hear people squeeking the floor boards, and the road noise is also bad. They offer you free earplugs to lessen the noise. The manager is very friendly and welcoming.

If you like an older style humble motel with no bells and whistles this will suit you, otherwise go somewhere else :)

The design of the shower is unworkable. The instant gas heating is a great idea and the concept of the shower is great, but the taps (high up on the wall) are too close to the showerhead - to turn on the water and adjust the temp one either risks very hot water on bare skin or soaking wet cloths. Also, the shower curtain is inadequate - no amount of care can prevent the entire bathroom floor from becoming wet and potentially dangerous.

The walls of the apartments are paper thin, so you are likely to be disturbed by your neighbours when the hotel is busy (the management offer free ear plugs!). This is not luxury accommodation, but the owners are helpful & friendly.

We only stayed here for 1 night, however our stay was very pleasant. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and we would highly recommend this motel.

The refurbished rooms were fine but the Wi-Fi did not work properly. The hot water system does not really give you long hot showers. Very spacious rooms and good facilities.

This was a very nice and clean Motel. Well situated and friendly staff....would stay again no hesitation.

Booked on internet. Good price for a clean well located motel. Only slight niggle is that blackout curtains would have been good. Otherwise, excellent.

Very Nice people, They know how to make you feel welcome. The set up of the room wasn't too ideal though everything looked a little narrow. Especially where the TV was placed wasn't so great.
