I booked this hotel within 24hrs of our departure. It was superbly located with a sea view and balcony. It was CHARMINGLY CUTE. Simple 2 minute walk to the beach...3 minutes to restaurants and couture shops...
Albert 1er is a vey nice budget hotel. It is very well located, facing a park, one block away from the beach and two blocks away from the Massena Square that is the heart of Nice. I will definitively stay there when I go back to Nice.

Location of the hotel exellent - next to Promenade des Anglais. Breakfast was quite good in french standards. Having a room in the 1. floor is not a good idea - there was extremely loud music one night coming from the bar next to the hotel. We were able to change the room to the 3. floor, which was okay.
Great location - great value
The young French lady at reception was bright-mannered and extremely welcoming and helpful with information. The breakfast was marvellous and the proximity to tourist sites was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay (the second time we've enjoyed it) and strongly recommend it.

Last summer we've been in the Albert 1er and we have had a beautiful room. It's an old hotel but the location is very good. Now we've been there in januari. They're busy to paint the outside of the hotel so that will be looking good in a few months. The room was okay again.
Courteous and helpful staff. Older hotel with excellent central location overlooking park, stone's throw from beach. Previous reviewers have been unkind to the Albert Premier!

An excellent location in front of one of the best city parks, few minutes walking from the Promenade and the Old Town as well. Poor cleanliness and facilities, this hotel needs a huge restyling and hard work for comfort enhancement! A bit expensive for its real quality.
The location is great, just 2 minutes to the beach and 5 minutes to the old town on foot. The rooms are not small and good. I would definitely stay there again.

I found the reception staff to be very friendly and inviting on my arrival. The room was clean and had everything that I needed. I had a room with a view over the park and out to the water, which was very theraputic. Overall, a decent place to stay.

Superb location for Nice - right by the beach and next to the old town which buzzes with gorgeous allyways and plenty restaurants. The decor could do with an overhaul, but rooms very cleaned everyday. Service was OK. We didn't eat there. Just be forewarned 'seaview' does not mean facing straight on, but faces the stunning gardens which are just by the beach.... I'd go again.
