From the service received from the staff to the room and facilities....WOW! We thoroghly enjoyed ourselves and only wished that we stayed there for more than 2 days. We will be back on our next trip and won't be looking anywhere else. Thanks guys!! It was my favourite hotel yet!!
Had a wonderful stay. Room just finished being renovated, very fresh and modern and spacious. Included buffet breakfast very nice. Great position, would stay again.
Breakfast is expensive for what it is but the hotel is comfortable and it is often possible to get a good rate for the room.
all pretty good, although breakfast at 16.50eur is a bit of a rip-off
The staff was incredible during out stay. They were extremely helpful and accommodating. This hotel is very gay friendly so that was another huge plus for us. It is in a safe neighbourhood not far from the flower market and right on a useful tram line.
Warm hotel with no aircon så hope you get a room not facing the street - the noise from traffic is quite bad. We had som problems with mosquitos in our room. Lare room but some outdated bathrooms.
Have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at the Albus Grand Hotel. The hotel staff are friendly and the reception staff were very helpful. The breakfast is of good quality and plenty of variety, from yoghurts to crispy bacon! The location of the hotel is good. You can walk to the City centre in 10 minutes. The only negative comments we have are the lift was broken for most of our stay and we were on the 8th floor which meant we had 16 flights of stairs to climb! Not great when you have been walking around Amsterdam all day! We also asked for a non smoking room our room was clearly a smoking room as there was a strong smell of stale smoke and had burn holes on the carpets and chairs! All in all a good hotel that we would recommend. Book early as it's cheaper!
Very nice hotel with spacious rooms and great beds. The staff at the reception was very helpful - especially Patricia :-) Breakfast was full and excellent, but beware - you are kindly told at 10 sharp (10.30 on weekends) to finish your breakfast and leave the breakfast room. Very interesting to notice people's reactions - those who showed up at 9.55! The location is fine - close to "lively" areas, close to the Opera and close to shopping areas. The hotel is facing a rather busy street, so remember ear-plugs if you are "allergic" to traffic noise.
Fantastic location, staff were excellent, rooms clean and furnished to a good standard, would go back.
Decent hotel, but a little bit further out than some, and the street outside can get busy.
Excellent Hotel. Greeted with a friendly smile on arrival. all the staff very helpfull and accomodating . Excellent hot breakfast with a good variety of hot and cold. Would definitely stay there again.
we ended up having some difficulty in finding the hotel after catching the street car to the desired stop, following the instructions from the hotel internet site, after an hour of walking up and down the street and not finding the hotel we arrived exhausted. The hotel was in a good location, the road that it was on was very busy and the room was a little noisy. other wise the facilities were well appointed and clean.
Very friendly staff who upgraded us to a delux room for free and allowed us to check in earleir than specified, hotel offers an excellent location and facilies are clean modern and comfortable. i will definatly stay here again.
Good central location: You can't really tell by looking at the map but once you've walked around for a couple of days you'll see. Staff were friendly and accomodating. Hot breakfast buffett was good and plentiful, and included in the price which was a bonus. I would deifinitely stay there again. Of course, having written this I've now made it more difficult to get a room there!
The hotel is well situated for the centre of Amsterdam, Staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. Hotel is modern and comfortable. Bed rooms were of a good standard and the bathroom was large and facilties good. Bed was comfortable Not all rooms have tea/coffee facilities which would have been a helpful addition. Breakfast presented an adequete choice and was good value. Overall we were highly satisfied and would certanily stay there again.
Small, friendly hotel in an excellent location. I would definately stay there again and recommend to friends and family.
I WENT FOR CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS TO ALBUS GRAND HOTEL. I CAN SAY THAT THE ROOMS (DELUXE) ARE VERY CLEAN WITH ALL FACILITIES, THE ONLY PROBLEM,( DEPENT WHAT YOU LOOKING FOR) IS THAT THE ROOMS ARE LITTLE SMALL. THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY . GENERAL IS AGOOD CHOICE TO STAY THERE.
LOVELY, CLEAN HOTEL, SITUATED RIGHT IN THE CITY-CENTRE. ONLY BAD POINT WAS THAT WE WERE GIVEN A BASEMENET ROOM, SO NO PROPER WINDOWS THAT LET AIR IN AND ALSO WAS QUITE NOISY BECAUSE THE ENTRANCE TO THE KITCHENS WERE ON THIS FLOOR ALSO, THEREFORE THE CLEANERS AND THE HOTEL STAFF USED THIS FLOOR FROM ABOUT 5 IN THE MORNING....ANNOYING IF YOU''RE A LIGHT SLEEPER. OTHERWISE THIS HOTEL FULFILLED OUR NEEDS, WOULD DEFINTIELY GO THERE AGAIN
Good service. Excellent location. Very close to main shopping street (Kalverstraat) and flower market. Walking distance to centre of Amsterdam. Choice of hot and cold breakfast. Only downside - tea making facilities not standard in all rooms. Will definitely use it again.
Well presented hotel in a good location. Staff friendly and courteous. I would certainly return.
