"In general for the money this is a good value hotel. However, certain features need attention. For example the shower had no temperature control (it had been removed) resulting in a not very warm shower. Bring your own radio / alarm clock because those provided in the two rooms I used were broken. Attentive staff and a reasonable restaurant which does vary the menu through a week." - Paul King


"Restaurant and bar areas of thr hotel are very nice - recently redecorated and welcoming. The bedrooms that we used looked a bit 'tired' and in need of renovation. The storage furnture was worn and decor dowdy. Room 9 smelt stongly of stale cigarette smoke. Staff very friendly and helpful and food excellent (Breakfast & dinner). " - Margaret Patterson
