The hotel Alegre is a delightful, intimate little hotel nestled in exquisite woodlands in Luso, Portugal. The perfect hotel for guests eager to get away from it all and find a lazy retreat to recharge the batteries!
The staff at this cozy residence will strive to ensure that all your needs are promptly and efficiently met, available of their local knowledge and enquire about the best sights and sounds in the area
The guestrooms have all been designed and decorated with the comfort and convenience of the guest foremost in mind. There is a distinct 'home away from home' ambience about the place and very soon you will feel relaxed and untroubled.
Why not take a drink out to the pool and bask in the sunshine. For those more energetic guests there are a myriad of rambling trails to choose from each benefitting from spectacular scenery emphasied by the nearby Bussaco National Forest.

| Getting there: |
Enter the main Portuguese highway (Lisbon-Oporto) and drive until the exit that says "MEALHADA / LUSO / BUSSACO / CANTANHEDE" (about 200 Km north from Lisbon and 90Km south from Oporto).
After leaving the highway drive straight on until the road ends in a roundabout and turn left in the direction of Oporto.There are several roundabouts in the city but you'll drive straight on until, in the 4th roundabout, you'll find a sign that says "LUSO" on your right. Turn right and drive 5Km more until you enter LUSO.
After the light signs turn right entering the village. Drive straight on, pass the church and the Grande Hotel and look at the hill on your right.The pink manor house dominating the view is the place where you're going to be guest. Drive straight on until a roundabout with a spherical sculpture and turn right in the direction of Bussaco. On the next crossroads (the one with the light signs), continue left to Bussaco 50 mt more and turn left to our private parking. |
