We are situated in the Vondelstraat, which is located 5 minutes from the famous square the Leidseplein. Behind our hotel you can find the P.C. Hoofstraat which offers a variaty of designers shops. Getting there:From Central Station: Tram 1,2,5 to Leidseplein. From there 2-3 minuts on foot to hotel. From A10 Ring: take S109, follow then: Europaboulevard, Wielingenstraat, Stadionweg, Hobbemakade, de Roelof Hartstraat, and finally Vondelstraat
Check-in Procedure:We charge 5% extra for local taxes and 4% when using the credit card (all types). In all rooms there is a WIFI-internet connection, access cards can be bought at the reception desk.
Car parking:There is a public parking, this costs EURO 36.00 for one day and tickets can be bought at the hotel. A garage is also near to the hotel and is secured, this costs € 6.50 a day. For both services we cannot make reservation in advance, informations can be aquired at the reception desk.
Child Policy:Children of 2 years and under go free of charge when sharing a room with adults.
Location good - major museums within easy walking distance, good access to public transport. Room small with minimal clothing storage but acceptable for short stay. Good breakfast included. WiFi not available in our 2nd floor room.

We found this hotel to be great value for money, great location near a lot of good restaurants and shops and museums too. The weather was cold but the hotel was warm and the beds confortable bathroom spotless, and the breadfast was a good standard with everything being replaced every few minuets, I would recommend this hotel to friends and I would stay there again.

Aside from being locked in my room due to a faulty electronic locking system in the morning, I was also not happy to learn when I checked in there was a 4% charge if I used a credit card. Pleasant hotel otherwise and no charge for public WLAN in the lobby area.
I use 2 criteria to judge short stay in city hotels -cleanliness and location - Alexandra Hotel Amsterdam scores highly. The staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast is good and the free internet is a bonus. Would recommend and stay there again.

Very good location and friendly service. It was hot when we were in Amsterdam and this hotel had no air conditioning, but that's the only minor inconvenience. Excellent breakfast.
Friendly staff. Rooms get VERY hot in hot weather, but you can get a fan if you ask for it. Quiet and friendly surroundings. I can recommend this hotel!!
Single room quite small and basic but has everything you need and is in a great location
