Alexander Thomson Hotel Glasgow

we had the choice of other hotels on the same road and are really pleased that we chose to stay at the alexander thomson. perfect location to explore central glasgow. room was great,newly refurbished to a high standard.food was excellent.staff were very quick to provide information or assistance when required.we have recommended this hotel to friends already and would not hesitate to stay again ourselves!!!!!

Great location, staff very helpfull, breakfast plentiful and a good choice, you can ask the chef to do your eggs the way you like them! easy to get around buses and trains on the door step.

All in all could not fault this hotel,highly recommended

Non pricy and perfect location. The staff was very accommodating by letting us in earlier than the usual check in time. Thanks a lot for the wonderful experience and strongly recommended for those that wish to roam Glasgow for a day or two. Room size is spacious especially the bathroom and perfect soft bed with no noise at its surrounding.

A well appointed hotel in an excellent position very close to Glasgow Central Railway Station that offered very good value for money. Bedding was comfortable, bathroom very clean and the room neat. Would recommend this hotel to anyone requiring the above features.

Excellent for a budget priced hotel. Very good breakfast. Room amenities were very good and unusually included complimentary bottled water. Complimentary wifi, and whilst the area was a little run down the hotel was close to the station, bus stops and plenty of restaurants.

Although I didn't spend much time in the hotel, the few members of staff that I did interact with were excellent. Great central location, and although close to the Central Station & Subway, not affected by the noise. I spent the bit extra and had a superior room, which technically was a suite. V nice. View of the river just!, if you looked between the buildings opposite. Strange mixture of interior design, with some areas classic Glasgow School (or was it Mocking Tosh), and ornate victoriania without an organic shape amongst it. Would definately stay again.

Handy for Central station and city centre . I'd stay there again as an alternative to a national chain .

Excellently located in the city centre. The Alexander Thomson hotel is perfect for getting some sleep after a night out. Its well priced / clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. I cant comment on the food as we only stayed one night and didnt bother with breakfast, but overall i would have no problems booking this hotel again and would happily recommend it.

Great location. Rooms clean. Bathroom a bit dated, but clean. Hotel reception a bit old fashioned too, but staff helpul and friendly. Great choice for breakfast, although a bit cold. Bottles of water in room, which was a nice surprise considering the rooms were so reasonably price. I will stay here again

my stay at this hotel was excellent, the staff couldnt be any nicer, the room was very good, breakfast was also excellent, i would certainly be booking again

nice hotel ,close to town centre ,good rooms ,very good breakfast and helpful staff ,would stay again all shops and bars close by

The bed room was nice, it had recently been refurbished and looked very modern. However the bathroom was a little tired and could have done with an overhaul. The bath had a couple of rust patches where the enamel had come off the bath, the bracket for the shower head was so low and far away from the bath that it meant i could only wash my knees without holding it! The bath/shower tap had been plumbed in the wrong way around so you had to turn it to cold to get hot water (easily fixed). The breakfast was good and the whole hotel seemed spotless. Over all the hotel was fantastic value.

Friendly polite staff rooms clean and more than adequate for our short stay. Really central for dining etc. Will definately stay there again

The hotel gives great value for money. The rates reflect perfectly the standard of accomodation and service. The breakfast gives visitors a good start to the day. However I would look and compare elsewhere if the rates were increased and maybe select another hotel. Great hotel nothing needs changing including the rates.
