We stayed 2 nights at the Alexandra Hotel.Everything was wonderful.Very handy to everything including the rail station I would certainly stay here again if ever in Fort William again.would also recommend it to all my family and friends. We stayed 2nd to 4th July.
Very central, opposite Railway and Bus stations. Good for the price. Polite staff. Breakfast had a big selection, hot and cold but the cooked items tasted a bit bland.
Rooms with disabled facilities as well as smoking/non-smoking rooms are on request basis and are subject to availability. Please request hairdryer, iron/ironing board, laundry service and room service at reception.
Excellent place to stay. Good location and good in Hotel excellent. Staff very helpful and happy to mind your luggage if gojng out for the day. Ideal place to stay a few days.
Great hotel and the reception staff were superb. We were given a superior room which was lovely and the decor was great too. I would strongly reccommend this hotel just for the staff as they were brilliant and the location was great too!
Had a great stay. Staff very helpful. Hope to go back sometime.
Short and sweet. Enjoyed the stay. Only minus was the smell of food continueously in room 114.
i had an enjoyable 2 day stay at this hotel, room was fine but was a bit on the warm side at night even with window open. i dined in the hotel restaurant on both nights and both the service and food was good, however a word of caution, if you wish to dine in the restaurant make sure you book up in advance. i would certainly go there again. location is right in the town with car parking and close to the railway station. this is a very good and friewndly hotel my only complaint was cold meals
One of the creakiest bathroom floors I've stood on, and could do with more ventilation. Very limited TV channels which is what you expect in that area. Don't expect to get several people with luggage in the lift. Good location and breakfast.
all the staff were very friendly and the room was great.breakfast was fantastic.
Staff were very friendly and helpful on check in and out. The room was clean but rather drab and had not been decorated for a long time. The mould in the bathroom backed this up. Breakfast was good but had to wait a while for more food for the buffet to arrive. The location was very central to the train station and town centre.
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful
This is the second time we stayed here. Lovely hotel and nice to our dogs. One negative: both times the rooms were very, very warm. This time (end of december) we slept without blankets and with the windows wide open and still could not sleep because of the heat. Apart from that we like the hotel.
A genuine attempt to meet my special diatry needs at the drop of a hat, for that I'm gratefull. The rooms are bit tired and could do with an overall, also the room service is better at the start of the holiday season and deteriorates as the year progress's! A real bonus is being able to use the fitness facilites of the nearby sister hotel - just great at the end of a hard day.
Only stopped for one night on business, but, was made welcome, nice room, nice breakfast and surprisingly no noise from other guests. I'll go back.
A very nice hotel and an excellent restaurant. Our dogs enjoyed staying there too. It is conveniently situated in the centre of Fort William, the staff are friendly and helpfull. One point: the room was very hot at night (it was very good weather) and leaving a window open didn't help much. Airco would have been nice.
Only downside was the lack of ventilation in the bathroom, which meant some of the wallpaper was coming off the walls. Otherwise a traditional and a quaintly dated hotel. Friendly service, breakfast generous and well thought out.
Nice friendly hotel, very close to the railway station. Would recommend if you can get a good deal on the room rates.
Excellent breakfast. Rooms can be noisy if overlooking central well with windows open.
A great hotel and location.
