Enjoyed our stay. Great location and excellent service.

I got a basic room with a shower cubicle inside. Fine for the 30 GBP rate, though I would probably not pay much more for this.

Rooms too small, too cramped, toilet too small, bed not very comfy. I think for that price I was asking too much but I will not stay there again.

I found the hotel very clean. The continental breakfast was good, better than I expected it to be. The location was excellent - very handy to Hyde Park and to Oxford Street and particularly handy (about 150 metres) to Paddington Station. My only complaint was the small en-suite. It was VERY small.

1. Had to ask for hand towels & bathmat on arrival. 2. Shower head broke off under force of water. Fixed immediately. 3. Breakfast not very good. Nothing healthy. White bread toasted & left in a pile; like chewing gum when it was time to eat it. Only cornflakes & rice krispies for cereal. 4. No basin plug. 5. Staff very good.

Too far from Paddington station to walk with luggage. Otherwise a good choice.

The location is excellent and the breakfast was good. I have to say though, the bathroom eas the smallest I have ever seen!

The rooms are small the decor dated, the breakfast simple, the bathrooms smaller than the wardrobe, but I will be going back to Alexandra. I couldn't wish for any more for my £30. Clean, comfortable beds, lots of hot water, warm room <5mins walk to Hyde park for a run, 10-15 min walk to Oxford Street, <2 mins to Paddington. I just hope a review like this doesn't mean it's full next time I book.

We appreciated what the staff tried to do for us but we had a leaking toilet the whole time we were there. Also the. noise from the young groups ,slamming doors,running and loud voices was concerning they had no consideration for other guests. If you take them in try and put them in one area where you can keep them under control.

I have stayed at the Alexandra Hotel before in the main building, so it was a bit disappointing to be sent to the other side of the street and down into the basement. The service was good though and friendly and the location is perfect.

I stayed across the street from hotel reception. Toilet and shower were on next floor from my room ok since I stayed only one night. All very basic but good location.

Simple and efficient. Pity no WiFi yet!

Very cool small rooms with good cleanliness.

I was surprised to find that even though I didn't have en-suite facilities, the shower room was very clean, completely tiled and the shower worked very well. The 'continental breakfast' also included orange juice, cereals, cheese and cold hams, and jam as well as butter for the toast. I have stayed in hotels in London before for £35 a night, but this was the cleanest and best.

A clean, comfortable and homely environment ideally situated for the traveller. Very pleasantly surprised by the value for money and definitely a hotel I will return to.
