This hotel is situated in the city centre by about 10 minutes walk from the old part of the town and near to the Federico Garcia Lorca Park . It is very good value for money for it’s standard and is a brand new hotel opened late 2.004. This upmarket mid-range hotel comprises a total of 141 rooms spread over 6 floors of which 4 are single rooms , 135 are twin rooms and 2 are suites. Guest may make use of the foyer with 24-hour reception desk , a safe, a currency exchange facility , cloakroom and lift. Further facilities include a bar, a games room , a TV room and an air-conditioned à la carte restaurant with highchairs for infants. There is also a conference room and a public Internet terminal to be used within the hotel and those arriving by car may take advantage of the car park or garage facilities.Room and laundry services round off the facilities on offer as banquet and meeting rooms for up to the capacity of 250 people.

Getting there:Follow the “circunvalación”, the ring motorway of the town. The airport is situated on the A-92, next to Chauchina village.You must to continue in the A-92 till the exit 230 ( Santa Fe, Granada, Sierra Nevada) you continue by the A-329 in Santa Fe village and then you connect with the A-44/E-902 and you have to drive till the exit 129 (Centro – Recogidas), round the roundabout and go straight on by Neptuno Street and follow the same way by Recogidas Str. till you arrive to the intersection with Pedro Antonio de Alarcón Str which you can find at right. Continue this street by about 100 m. and you must to take the next street also at right, Manuel de Falla and finally you are in Alhamar Street where Alhamar Hotel is situated.

Even though we were on the fourth floor the noise from the street was tremendous. No sleep!! However for location, for sightseeing and accessibility to all the best that Granada has to offer-fantastic. Just stay up on the weekend-this was on a Friday night.
Excellent location, very helpful staff, underground parking available, can't fault the hotel at all.
Fine hotel but not exceptional. Furniture is beginning to show wear and tear. A pool would have been nice. Most rooms look out onto featureless patios, but are very quiet. Nice flat screen TV in room. Good location at 10 minutes walking from center.

Well located in walking distance to the major sites. The hotel has a very convenient car park (at extra cost) right under the hotel from where you can take the lift straight into the hotel. Totally quiet from traffic (at least in the room where we stayed facing an internal court wih no view whatsoever, but who cares?). It managed to dampen out to a large extent even noise from other tourists or the cleaning staff. Clean, good decor (albeit the laminated flooring won't be to anybody's taste). Breakfast was an efficient affair and fulfilling, if unimaginative.
Pillows in bedroom not very comfortable, could do with more. Air conditioning in bedroom not very efficient, we went at end of March and it was too hot at night to sleep properly. Otherwise hotel was fine for our needs and in a very good location for Granada centre.
I stayed at the Alhamar between the 11th-14th Jan 07 it is a modern hotel very clean staff very helpful and polite,it lacks comfortable sitting areas in the evening, although there are tables and chairs. Location is ok as its only a strool to the town centre. A chinese restraunt just oppersite,also an Indian in town if you didnt like the hotel meals, but suitable for my needs 8/10
We really liked this hotel. It is new and we had lots of space for 3 of us. The service was excellent as well!
