Comfortable hotel, although the room was quite small. Very handy for the Metro. Good breakfast and friendly, efficient staff.
Lovely stay :) , room 317 is a bit "too dark". At least that's my impression. Extractor fan not working in the bathroom. and the TV could have bigger screen :) Anyway, lovely stay :) Big Thanks for Staff :)

An excellent hotel; comfortable and well-equipped rooms. Very close to metro which takes you to the city centre in 15 minutes on a cheap, clean and frequent service.
The hotel is located in a great location close to the metro. The rooms were large and the bathrooms were quite large as well. The hotel was in a quiet location and a 2 minute walk to the grocery store.
I like the hotel, but not the location. I liked the breakfast as well.
The hotel is a top rated hotel. It has all of the ammenities of a 5 star, however its location is far away from everything. The subway is conveniently located behind the hotel, and the ride makes it 10 minutes from all the tourist attractions.
This was a nice place to stay. A bit far out of Barcelona but very close to the metro station for line 3 which can take you to the heart of the city very fast. The room was nice but there was some traffic noise from the busy road next to the hotel. Lovely breakfast as well.
I would advice you to choose this hotel to stay. Very nice and clean one, with comfortable location just next to metro station Mundet which is just 15-20 minutes from Placa Catalunya. Staff speaks good English. Especially I would note the restaurant they have, nice, quiet, good service and not so expensive. The breakfast is also good with a pretty variety of food.
The hotel was very good and the people were nice. The only problem with it was the location, but there is a train station right by it and it takes about 15 min to get to downtown, so it is not that bad. Recommended.
The Alimara is a quiet hotel. It is sort of isolated from the city centre and therefore quite peaceful without the bustle or crowds of the city. The good thing is there is a Metro Station just next to the hotel which easily leads you to most attractions and the city centre. The rooms were adequate in size. The bathrooms were clean and had good showers. There was an electronic safe in the room which was very handy. The TV in the room only has news channels in English. There was no tea/coffee provided in the room. The breakfast buffet was a simple average continental spread. The staff at the hotel could generally understand simple English and we had no trouble or hassle with any of them. Overall we had a hassle free stay at the Alimara. We were always out and only used the hotel at the end of the night and for that purpose it served us well. I would easily stay there again.
Situated just out of the City precinct it is very easy to get to the City Centre by metro which is just behind the hotel. I relly enjoyed my stay at this lovely, clean hotel with excelent service. Has a nice an relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast really good.

This hotel was a 1 minute walk to the metro station and less than a 10 minute ride to Las Ramblas, Gothic Quarter and the Port. The breakfast was great offering a varity of foods. The staff was helpful and friendly. There is even a grocery store across the stree to stock up on water if you are hitting other countries. The people of Barcelona are friendly and helpful the metro system was easy to navigate.
Very close to metro station, taxi to center Barcelona only 10Euro! Clean rooms and very quiet!
We loved the huge room and that the hotel was so close to the metro. The hotel was out of town but it didnt matter because it was so close to the metro. I loved it that it was possible to open a window...and we found a wonderful restaurant nearby..We will stay there again in future, for sure.
Good hotel if you don't mind being outside the centre. Metro station is 2 minutes walk and metro takes about 15 min to La Rambla. Buffet breakfast had wide selection. My room backed onto a main road but double glazing prevented any noise coming in.
