Alma Motel Wanganui

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Alma Motel, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. If the chance arose again i would stay again.

Acomodations are a bit dated.

The only downfall was that the soap dispensor over the handbasin was not secure and it was difficult to identify light switches.

Rooms were not serviced daily and although person at the front desk was pleasant there was no warmth of welome to the customer.

This hotel is heated via column heaters which was sufficient, but not as warm as it could have been. The one thing that was missing was a hairdryer. It had an iron/ironing board, hangers in the wardrobe, heater, tv, electric blankets ont he beds but really needed a hairdryer in each room. The service and restaurant far outweighed the hotel rooms.

Units were spacious although starting to look a bit tired and dated.

Very clean and represents good value-for-money. However, we were maybe unlucky but if I was going back I'd probably give the cooked breakfast a miss.

Lovely owners at the Motel & Restaurant, treated us like royalty & were genuinely very friendly. Had a great time in Wanganui, what a super bunch of people.

Good price and generous breakfast. Facilities a bit dated but clean and more than adequate. Our studio room was a generous size.

Excellent restaurant on site, score ++++ But Motel itself very tired, needs refurbishing urgently. Would rate lower 3 star, wouldn't take my wife and family there to stay.

We had one complimentary continental breakfast and ordered another. The breakfast was very generous in portions. Lots of fruit and yoghurt. The motel is tired as far as decor is concerned and there were large marks on the carpet but the unit was spacious.

We absolutely loved the restaurant and for that reason would stay there again if we were to visit Wanganui. The deal with accommodation and dinner etc through Rates to Go we were extremely happy with. It was an exceptional priced stay.

Rooms of 70's quality in construction & design, with kitchen facilities. Poor room layout People young and pleasant Good restaurant & adequate continental breakfast included. No aspect Quiet location

Although not the flashes of motels we have stayed in ,this motel was very good value for money and were very happy to stay there and will again if need to in the future. Staff helpfull ,Quiet and a comfortable bed.

Good food, mediocre hotel.

At every point of contact the service was excellent and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome!

pool could be a bit cleaner as could the room windows. Spa lovely, warm and very clean No smoke detector in situ, sitting at the back of a shelf Rooms spaciious, towels changed daily

Currently upgrading motel. Excellent service and very comfortable. look forward to sseeing it when upgraded

Good Hotel for the price. Only complaint was that we asked for a non-smoking room and the complex was non-smoking according to the signage but our room had a strong smokey smell.
