Getting there:From Christchurch Airport - drive down Memorial Ave turn right on Ilam Road, turn right on Riccarton Road and continue with Main South Road. Aloha Motel is on the right hand side of Main South Road [1 min from the Riccarton Road].

The room was lovely and clean, although had a few problems with the water going everywhere in the shower. The young couple running the hotel were very nice and very helpful.
good accommodation, further down the road so as to be not so noisy with traffic as some motels can be at night. Would definately stay again

The two bedroom unit offer either a king size bed or two single beds in each bedroom. There is a sofa bed in the lounge. We would be happy to book and stay there again. It was close to Riccarton and had most amenities we wanted.

This is the second time i have stayed here & being close to Riccarton but with a good clean room and good bathroom to come back to was fanatastic.
Athough bathroom was clean it had a very powerful smell of bleach which I found off putting.
Fantastic stay. Needs to get wireless though.
Information about Christchurch, eating places, tourist spots would have been great. The towells were not of a standard that you would expect to find in any paying establishment, and no extra blankets or pillows.
We really enjoyed our stay here. My partner said it was the best motel he had ever stayed in.
great place to stay
There was no tea-towel supplied to the unit, nor was there any plug for the sink. I mentioned this to the manager, who was very apologetic. He said that he would have done the dishes. This is not practical. When people are staying in a unit for more than one night, as we did, then the dishes are used several times over. I would not want the manager coming in doing our dishes every time we used them. Simple solution: provide a decent plug for the kitchen sink, and also a tea-towel.Thanks

Spa bath inside rooms very disappointing...NOT a spa. Outside spa was great...but outside. Staff extremely friendly and helpful, although information at reception out of date.
More luxury than average motel inc. split King size beds + double window treatments.
Reception stated to be open 9.00pm to 10.00 pm, which seemed late to be opening but on first morning it did not open until 9.50 am. Why should guests waste their money ringing mobile phones for "urgent" attention at 9.00 am in the morning. Also on check in offered credit card but was refused as prepaid by voucher, then discovered at 11pm that could not use the phone as the office did not have credit card imprint.
A cheap place to stay.
Office doesn't open until after 0900, which can be a problem. Otherwise ok.
We thought Motel was a little hard to find and upon arrival found the office to be locked. Once the manger arrived, everything else was very spot-on as we were fortunate to get a ground-floor Luxury Spa Bath Suite.
Adequet for a short stay.
Large, roomy accommodation. Suitable for a family. Well stocked kitchen and well priced. Parking is quite "tight" but the casino shuttle bus is an excellent service to the city.
