Getting there:From North turn left at Taupo's only traffic lights into Heu Heu Street. Proceed through shopping area to near end of street. Motel is situated approx 500m up on right hand side. From South turn right at the fire station into Rifle Range Road, then 2nd left into Heu Heu Street. Motel is 50m along on left hand side.
Check-in Procedure:A credit card matching the name of the guest checking in is required PLUS valid identification (Passport or NZ drivers licence) upon arrival. **Arrivals after 9pm are available by prior arrangement. Please call to pre-arrange**
Car parking:Easy off street parking adjacent the units. Large free carpark suitable for cars, boats, trailers and other oversized vehicles. Lock up parking for motorbikes and bicycles.
Child Policy:Babies, (0-2 years), are free. A portacot is available on request. Children over 2 years are priced as extra persons at a rate of $25 each.
Advertised as ' luxury accomodation' we found the Alpine Lake Motor Lodge to be clean and tidy but not luxury in any sense - We had the choice to stay there a couple of night later and choose not to - It was not a bad experience but at best we would call it average.

Four years old and still looks and feels brand new. The lady manager was most obliging with extra milk and the loan of two DVD's. Large interiors with simple but elegant interior decorations and quality furnishings. I couldn't fault the tastefulness of the amenities. Upper end charges but still good value for money.
Good all-round motel, modern and clean. Good mattress.

We were very happy with our stay and would gladly recommend it to friends. The free brodband internet in our room was very much appreciated. Our niece was competing in the Ironman event and we were able to inform family friends in Australia of her results. It was good to have a separate shower and not one over a spa bath as is so prevalent in N.Z.

Tidy comfy rooms in good location - within walking distance to town centre. We were in an upstairs room, they don't have a view but nice spa bath and good kitchen facilities.

Straightforward quality motel, everything you need but no wow factor
This Hotel was fantastic! Great service and advice on tourist activities. Great facilities -Brand new- you could still smell the paint it was so new! Big comfortable bed and a large shower! This place would easily accomodate people in wheelchairs comfortably. We really enjoyed our short one night stay and would definately stay again. It was a 5 minute walk from town and didn't have the views of some if the other Hotels but it made up for that with all the other fantstic facilities - and they let us use their washing mashine and dryer!!

A very pleasant motel but guests need to know there is no outdoor sitting area attached to the upstairs units.
very nice room, loved the spa bath, great service, close to town, found our bed was rather soft for our likeing and unfortunatly my husband and i both ended up with sore backs.
