"Alta was formerly solely the American lLanguage Teaching Authority but appears now to be geared more to the resort side of its operations. The standard rooms are on the pokey side and the king sized bed has two mattresses that divide half way down the bed. Beds were, as a result, not overly comfortable. Staff were friendly although one waitress did not know how to uncork a bottle of wine nor to stand on the right side of a person who was dining to pour drinks. Pool excellent. No nearby beach although elevated concrete walkway to rotunda offers interesting views of local residents who sadly are far poorer than those staying at Alta. " - Anonymous

"The location of Alta is so far away from city that make me spent more money (plus extra 50p)on the transport. Sometimes, no drivers know where is Alta and didn't listen the name before. It seems not popular hotel. About the service, I think it is bad because no phone avaible in room and lack of staff for serving. I must go to the receiption then tell my request to them. It seems trouble. Also, the breadfast was not good. Fewer ppl ate at there because fewer kinds of food and the taste was not good. The next day, I bought a cup noodles for my breadfast. The strength of the hotel is lower price and pre-confirm room serives. Otherwise, I am willing to add more USD$10-20 to choose other same grade hotel. Also, I will not recommend this hotel.
