"This is a quiet hotel in the hills above the Algarve - Alte is the real Algave, whitewashed houses, beautiful weather and rugged landscape. The hotel is small but the staff are excellent and very helpful. We could not have wished for a better place to stay for a few days in the sun!
The homecooked Algave food is excellent and I loved the steak/beans Algave style! This hotel is a beautiful oasis in the Algave hills!" - Charles Love
"A very peaceful retreat from the hurly-burly of the coast, which is only 25 minutes away. All areas were clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke excellent English. As it was very hot during our visit the in-room air conditioning was very welcome, and ensured that a good night's sleep was possible. The buffet breakfast was a good start to each day.
