Altona Hotel Paris

The hotel is OK, it's clean, the personnel is friendly. By the way if the personnel reads this: in room 52 the shower taps do not work correctly (the water is either cold or hot and pulsates from hot to cold). The location is very good when coming with train to Gare du Nord. Breakfast is continental, but ok, too.

Friendly Spanish Team of brothers at the reception, good price - service relationship good if you don't forget that you are in a 2 star hotel!

Really sympathetic hotel placed between Gare du Nord and Monmartre. It takes approximately 5 min to get to both places. Rooms are clean and neat, very friendly staff. Standart continental breakfast - croissant and baguet with beverage. Probably this hotel is overpriced - 50 euro per room suits more than exact 63. Overall assesment could be scored as 4,3 (out of 5). It is value for money offer.

This is an older hotel, but quite clean and the staff were very friendly. The rooms were a bit small, but this is expected in a Paris hotel. Excellent position with some great restaurants close by.

2 min walk from Barbes station on line 5 of Metro, one stop or walking distance from Gare d'Nord and two stops from Gare d'Lest. Cheap eating areas and cafe's and in the heart of Monmartre. Housekeeping staff, led by man called Yacine, extremely friendly and helpful. Memorable stay.

Not bad for the price. The staff tried their best with facilities at hand. Breakfast was great!!!

Hotel is just at the edge of the Montmartre area, 20 minutes walk from the Sacre Coeur church. It is on two metro lines, the number 2 which will bring you to the Arc de Triomphe and Pere Lachaise Cemetary and the number 4 which will bring you to Notre Dame, Les Halles / Chatelet shopping district and the Latin Quarter. Area around the hotel is mostly traditional Parisianne buildings and the hotel is in a quiet street.

Hotel Altona has very friendly and serviceminded staff the best. Also you can perfectly easy walk to Momatre from the hotel which is good. However staying there in the varmest days ever WITHOUT aircondition is not recommended. Also getting a taxi from the hotel is impossible.

I like to read in bed; it took time and persistence to get a couple of extra pillows. Otherwise, all very satisfactory. Thanking you until my friends book to stay there come October.

We enjoyed our stay at the Altona Hotel Paris. The staff was very polite and helpfull in everyway, and we where very pleased by the good service. It is clearly a very old hotel, but the price was very good compared to that. We have already recommended the Hotel and the this website to some friend who are traveling to Paris in april.

The Altona Hotel is one of the cheaper hotels available in Paris through the Internet. It offers just basic services. If you just want a hotel to spend the nights, the Altona hotel is a good choice. The Altona hotel is close to public transport facilities (metro) and in a lively quarter of Paris, close to the Sacre Coeur and Montmartre.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Clean, efficient hotel, a good deal for tourists as it is close to the metro and train station. It's certainly not a luxury hotel, but for the price it's worth it if you don't need many services and room facilities. Also, several restaurants/amenities are located nearby.

Very clean hotel, but could do with a redecoration. Our Quad room was a wee bit tight.

Very spacious and well kept clean rooms, very clean bathroom, nice view out of the window, nice & friendly people, very helpfull, very flexible in leaving the rooms and leaving the bagage although they were very busy and the hotel was full. Very close to the metro (to be remarked: don't stop at 'poissonnière' although that's the name of the road) Two minor remarks: 1) there was no television on the room 2) the phone in the hall didnt work, but public phones were in a very proximate distance
