Amara Hotel Singapore

Good location for the Malaysia train station - I was catching an early morning train the following day.

This hotel was within walking distance of the station where the train from Malaysia arrives, so it suited our overnight needs. However, for longer stays it is poorly located for a tourist visit, well away from shopping, attractions and good restaurants.

Good location, only 2 minutes from MRT. Bus stop in front of the lobby hotel. Only have twin single beds for deluxe room. Special Thank's to Mr. Hamid [H...] (Senior Guest Service Manager) for good hospitality.

Generally is good location, quiet and near to most facilities and near to MRT

Usage of Broadband Internet should be packaged into the Hotel rate as an "value-added service" to hotel guest

The Amara is excellent value for money. This is due to its ideal location between the city and Chinatown (a comfortable 10 minute walk to Chinatown). It is near the MTR and opposite a local shopping area. The hotel is a solid quality 4 star.

Internet access is very expensive

We have found the hotel very pleasant to stay in, and the pool was great especially for kids. The hotel is clean although the bathroom was a bit run-down, and the shower drainage was blocked, nevertheless the staff attended to our request to unblock the drain very promptly. The location was great, with Tanjong Pagar MRT just 2 minutes walk from the hotel, and the shopping mall next to the hotel very handy especially for breakfast/lunch/dinner. Over-priced during the Singapore F1 weekend, otherwise [your website] offered great value during our stay.

Good location - just beside the MRT station. Convenient to go anywhere in Singapore. Shopping mall is adjoining to the hotel. Across the road opposite the hotel, there are many hawker centres for people who want a local taste of Singapore flavours. Hotel is clean & spacious. Bathroom is big too. Overall a great hotel, highly recommended stay.

My Deluxe room was not really Delux. It was faily shabby in appearance- scuffed furniture - unpainted areas on wall and smelt of stale smoke despite being a non smoking room. I think there is a huge difference between deluxe and executive rooms. Hotel lobby and general facilities were fairly good but overall hotel is definately 3 star not 4 Reception welcome was fiarly cold for Asian standards. I would consider staying again but would probably opt for an alternative hotel.

The rooms are spacious,clean and well furnished. The dissapointment was the absence of razor for shaving. The check in was very fast and the front office personnel very polite. I would use this hotel again.

An excellent business hotel, but one with great recreational facilities as well. Impressive service, good restaurants and a good location near the finance and business centres, the hotel is also across the road from a shopping center and only about 300m from the nearest MRT station. About 10 mins by MRT to Orchard Road.

The interior decore is very modern and has a great pool area.

I've stayed at this hotel on 5 occasions and keep going back to it each time I go to Singapore because it is a first class hotel with gorgeous rooms, not just a beautiful hall/reception area. It is not near the noisy, touristic part of town (Orchard Rd, 10 min away by taxi) yet it is within walking distance of Clarke & Boat Quays and to Chinatown. The rates are extremely reasonable, it has one of the best bars in Singapore, a small mall within the same block, supermarkets and shops across... I highly recommend it.

Received way more for our money than expected... huge room and only across the road to the Terang Pajar(?) MRT. Excellent!

I LOVE THIS HOTEL - have travelled to Singapore on several occasions and this was my first visit to the this hotel, and it was superb! Fantastic service and friendliness from staff - beautiful decor - resort style pool area was very relaxing. Located in the Business District - yet 10 minute walk to Chinatown and an easy journey on the MRT to the Airport - After a 5 day stay, I found myself, on several occasions, commenting on the facilities of the hotel - they seem to have it all going on and it's wonderful.
