This riverside temple is a major city landmark and houses one of Thailand`s most beautiful and significant Buddha images, Phra Buddha Chinnarat, which was cast in 1357. The striking mother-of-pearl inlaid doors were built in 1756 by Ayutthava`s King Boromokot. The museum in the temple compound houses a collection of Sukhothai art.

Nice hotel for a quick stopover in Phitsanulok. Spacy rooms with TV and phone in rooms. It is difficult to find using the map on their site. When you come out of the train station, go straight across the road, through the round about with the Elephant statues. On that street, it is the first left (before Bangkok Bank). Close to Night Market and the Thai restaurant across the road is ok.
The breakfast was terrible. 'Hot food' was not in a warming tray and was cold and congealed when I ate. The staff were very nice and helpful but need more English for foreign guests.
