Getting there:Coming from Marques de Pombal Square To get to the hotel, go round the Marques de Pombal round about, following Braancamp Str, at the second street turn to your right (as a reference there's a Macdonalds), after going up Rodrigo da Fonseca Str. at the first street turn left, going straight until the crossroad Fabrica dos Pentes. Coming from the Rato Square You should go along Amoreiras Str. after the arc turn right, keeping left until you find the crossroad Trv. Légua da Póvoa. At the end of this street turn right onto Artilharia Um Str and right again so that you get onto the Fábrica dos Pentes crossroad where you will find the Hotel.

Was sure that breakfast was included in price when booked on the internet. Was surprised to be told that this was not so, and had to pay 8 euros each for a not too exciting breakfast. i.e. cold scrambled eggs and midget sausages, if you were lucky.

This hotel is very near Marques de Pombal metro station in a side street in a residential district, about 20 minutes walk or a few minutes on the metro to the city centre. It's a standard modern hotel, clean and comfortable.
Very small room but with a balony. 5 min to metro that will take you to the center (just 2 stops) in no time. Breakfast ok, but takes ages to refill the dishes(buffet).
Pleasant hotel in good location within brisk walking distance of Bairro Alto.
Amazonia Lisboa is a no-nonsense, very professional hotel. Its location is outstanding, everything is really ok. As a guest, you feel immediately at home.
Definite need to refurbish. Carpet disgusting. Heating system out-dated and inadequate.

Location is good, walking distance to city centre. Good view from the sunny side of the hotel. Breakfast is ok, but coffee not warm enough.
The room was clean and comfortable. The price was a bargain. I wouldn't expect anywhere near the available services at any motel at home.
The hotel was very clean and the staff courteous and helplful. The bedrooms, although oldfashioned, were kept very clean by the housekeeping staff. The breakfasts were excellent and served for more than 3 hours in the morning. All in all I would recommend it and would stay again. It is in a very good location within walking distance of the city centre.
