Child Policy:Kindly advise all children's age into "Special Request" - Children 12 years old or above is consider as adult. - Children below 12 years old will be free of charge (maximum 1 child per room). However, no additional breakfast nor extra bed will be provided. - If your family are 2 adults and 2 children , please book at least"A Triple room" for your family.
It is advisable to stay in the Tower Wing of the hotel, which is nicely done, spacious and neat. The hotel is excellently located, right in the center of all attractions and connected well through the LRT.
Stayed only one night. The hotel is good located and close to Sukhumvit's nightlife. However, couldn't really enjoy as there was some unexpected maintenance work starting 7am in the morning. Normally I would say the price for the standard room is quite ok but if you can't sleep because of maintenance work, the hotel should inform and the price should be more attractive as well! However, if you want to get a cheap room within 5min walking distance from the inhouse Climax club, go for it!

We have been staying at this hotel for the last 7 years, twice yearly... We always book a room on the the Privilege floors of the Tower Wing. We found a noisy exhaust system in the bathroom this time but got it fixed... We find the location so convenient... Breakfast is good.... What more can one ask for?

Good location. Rooms very noisy - you can hear through the walls and doors. A bit of a seedy area. No view from rooms.
The Ambassador Hotel was ideal for us as first-time visitors to Bangkok in that it was ideally placed near to the Sky Train and near to many restaurants in a reasonable area of the city with the cost being very cheap compared with equivalent hotels in other parts of the world.
Rooms have been revovated. It is an improvement, but if you don't mind walking a bit, there are nicer and cheaper hotels nearby.
Hoteln has maintained standards as when I was there last year. It is still value for money
Average hotel, reasonable value for money. Well situated with easy access to the Skytrain, taxis and airport road. Excellent breakfast but not included and a bit pricey by Thai standards.

Recently undergone a much needed refurbishment. Ideally located in busy part of Bangkok - easy access to skytrain (about 3 min walk) which then gets you around the city. Choice of food and shops within hotel is very good - you must try the all you can eatcDim Sum in the chinese restaurant. Pool is adequate and there is a very good bird garden up on the terrace above.
Reasonable hotel with reasonable price
A real bargain. Great location, great street. The breakfast is not worth the money and there are several really good breakfast places on soi 11

the Ambassador is situated only a few minutes walk from the skytrain, the breakfasts are very good and a real good market lines the streets just about 300 yards away.
Whilst this hotel is old, it is excellent value for money. It has all the facilities of a conference hotel, including a pool and shopping arcade. The food and service are excellent. Book in the non-smoking floor for freshly painted rooms. It's location near the skytrain is an added bonus. I have stayed here 3 times and woudn't want to stay anywhere else.
carpet stinks..breakfast is always lavish..service is average..price is good
For the family traveller --great room ,pool buffet B/F first class.For the single man in a red light area --no lady friends--security unrelenting!
