America Hotel Barcelona

The staff is wonderful. The location is close to the major sites. easy to walk everywhere. Out of the tourist traps. Great price for the location.Close to great restaurants. We will go back.

Christian, at the front desk, was always very helpful, and gave us excellent suggestions for where to eat, etc. and often got us a taxi in 3 mins or less! Enrique, also in the lobby, was never without a smile, very pleasant and always ready to help out!! The cleaning ladies were nice & thorough. The room needed paint touch-ups here and there, and room service food was a bit pricy ($15 for a nice salad with tuna), but, otherwise everything was good. Great location, good shopping all around and close to scenic "La Rambla" .

Really nice hotel in a very convenient location if you plan to see many parts of Barcelona. The buffet breakfast was excellent, the room very tidy and the service generally very good. We got a room facing a side street which was quiet and excellent size for the price.

I reealy enjoyed my stay at this Hotel. It is in an ideal area to sight see around Barcelona Centre either on foot, metro or on the bus. The breakfast was excellent.

A great hotel in one of the quieter areas of Barcelona (10-15 mins walk from Ramblas). Staff couldn't be nicer - they went out of their way to help us at all times! Lots of bars and restaurants close by so no need to go down to the tourist areas at night if you don't want to. Can thoroughly recommend staying there.

we stayed at the hotel from sat to mon, the staff were very friendly and they pointed us in the right direction eveytime we were lost!! they were very concerned and always told us to look out for our belongings. they organised the taxis and allowed us to use the lobby. the breakfast was very nice and the facilities on the roof top were very clean and welcoming.

Very clean - not a spot of dust! Nice and modern, good size room. Good proximity to 2 metro stations and also the centre of Barcelona. If you stay here be sure to have breakfast - it's a very good selection and all delicious!

Very impressed with this hotel. Very Clean, modern, stylish. Really comfortable beds. Good food. Could have done with tea/coffee making facilities in the room but more than adequate room service. Staff really helpful. Location was away from the busy areas, La Rambla, but excellent for shopping and metro and bus/tourist bus stops. Yes, highly rated.

The hotel, though not a big one, contains everything we need. The staff are very friendly and are ready to offer help at all time. The breakfast place is tidily and decently set up, the breakfast is very good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who looks for a comfortable and decent hotel.

The staff were very helpful and obliging. The hotel is excellent but only one aspect disappointed me was that there was no restuarant. It is in an excellent location for all the shopping and sights with a choice of two metros within short walking distance. The sun terrace was a surprising find. Excellent hotel. Good location. Great breakfasts. Swimming pool only open April to October and smaller than it appears in the photos but would definitely recommend this hotel and plan to stay there again.

Hotel is modern, leaning towards minimalist but is excellently located on Provenca, conveniently within a few minutes walk of La Ramblas and Passeig de Gracia. By accident we discovered it was more convenient to get off at Passeig de Gracia than Barcelona Sants. Friendly staff and helpful concierge added to the stay. Good price, great location we will definitely stop here again.

Having stayed in numerous Spanish hotels this one has got to rate as one of the best. The ultra modern style and friendliness of the staff made this definetly one to return to.
