Amora Lake Resort Okawa Bay (New name of Duxton)

The cleanliness of the hotel was very good but the kettles filter was dirty O_O.. The service was friendly.. The location of the hotel was out of town.. It was 15 to 20min drive to CBD of rotorua. Pricing was fair because there was no kitchen in the room and we had got it on a special but the restaurant prices were really expensive. And we did not recieve a private spa in our room even though the picture on this website showed a spa in the bathroom.

Great location for a quiet get away or a 'retreat', which was what i was there for. Excellent service and absolutely awesome food. Very well catered. Only thing i would ping them on would be the mouldy seats outside the bottom rooms. Get rid of the canvas seats i think. Am planning a weekend get away later in the year and will be staying there again.

This is a beautiful place to stay right next to the lake will definately stay here again.

Pristine location 15 min drive from Rotorua. Nice and friendly staff. Nice pool (spa and sauna) facilites. Restauranf prices too high. Good t/away place across the road is equally good. Tennis court needs an uplift but OK for beginners.

Hotel was a little run down and noisy ie hear all the footsteps in the room above. The location and restaurant was excellent and the staff friendly. Would definitely go again.

its one of the great hotel i have every been, the views i just loved it n it was the best experience because this was the 1st outing with my partner n he loved it as well

it was very bad choice because there is no way to be in the city center except by the taxis. it will cost you 100 NZD each time !!!!!

Wonderfull location - peacefull and tranquil. Lovely old building but has no lift. The restaurant was great with lovely food. They missed our early morning call which could have been a problem. Would happily stay there again.

We really enjoyed our one-night stay at The Duxton. It's a perfect location & setting and very quiet. However, on what was a very warm night it would have been great to have discovered the fan stored in the wardrobe.

The hotel was lovely (needed a dust, however) but wasn't in Rotorua itself, it was a fair drive.

Hotel room was good size, plenty of room however we found too hot and no ability to adjust temp. Was located quite away out of the City Centre.

We felt welcomed, and can only speak positively about every aspect of the experience.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The room was wonderful, lots to do at the hotel itself. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Have recommended to friends and family.

Highlights of this hotel are: Picturesque lakeside location. Outstanding meals in Restaurant with lake views and open fire.

We had a special deal and the price was great! A lovely place for a getaway weekend - romantic setting too.

Beautiful spot on the lake, excellent rooms with Lake view. Great price made it worthwhile.

We arrived very late - about 9.15pm - but the service was very friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were excellent and the room was ideal. This is a lovely hotel which is very good value.

A lighter menu option for evening meals would have been nice
