Excellent hotel. Despite the rainy weather we had a great time. They provided a birthday cake, wine and very good presentation trolley to our room for my Daughter's birthday at a reasonable cost. Perfect location, could not have been better.
people complain in other reviews this is a fallen 4 start hotel - but people book based on price alone so what do you really expect. the hard economic times have hit everywhere, the hotels have to complete on price alone to attract customers, so expect to pay for every little thing. huge bathroom, helpful staff, for what you're paying you get a fair deal.
Great place to stay as we need parking and were able to get to all of our meeting. Will stay next time I am in Chiang Mai
A formerly 4* hotel that's fallen on hard times and is struggling to make ends meet. They charge for everything: the 'courtesy' bus to & from airport, even the safe in your room is 100 baht a day. Avoid breakfast - evil 'coffee' and the food is very poor quality - and instead visit any of the pleasant cafes & coffee houses around. But the location, upmarket facade and respectful no-questions-asked anonymity make it well worth the 1000 baht a night price tag.
An enjoyable 3 night stay in April 2010 - New Year Festival. Good location for seeing local sights and for organising day/half day tours. Rooms clean and comfortable and staff very helpful. Reliable airport shuttle service available.
Very nice staff, breakfast so-so.
Nice staff, very good location (especially for Songkran Holiday), small pool and breakfast should be improved! Value for money...
As usual our stay was everything we would have hoped for. The new reception area is a massive improvement and looking forward to the refurbishment of the rooms in the near future. A fantastic hotel to stay in Chiang Mai as you are right in the heart of things......make sure you book a mountain view room it is worth the extra money.
Hotel undergoing renovations so some disruption in public areas
good place but not cheap price everything was ok
Stayed there in Feb 2008. Convenient located. Clean and professional. No frills but worth the money.
Excellent location.
We felt very lucky haven chosen this hotel. Clean and very friendly, best location in town, i.e. right between old town and new town. Great cocktails and wonderful staff. It was the best stay on our trip, and we'll go back! Thumbs up!
Would recommend this hotel for any leisure stays in Chiang Mai
I feel that while Thai Government policy restricts smoking in public hotel areas the placement of a few seats outside the bar area would make it more user friendly. The pool was freezing despite the 35 degree C ambient temperature. Check out was stressful as the driver to airport (B80 each) did not seem aware of the booking and I had to find him. We were therefore 15 minutes late leaving and the early morning staff were very slow in the process of checking the minibar etc
Good hotel for a decent price! But there are other options for a small amount more which are many classes better.
An excellent hotel, superb value for money, I will stay here again without hesiatation.
this hotel lacked the comfort but was expected as it was i believe 3 stars, ie the mattress was not too comfy for me the hotels services are way overpriced for tours or interent access so do go down the street and don't bother with them
I feel cheated for paying 500 bahts per night to upgrade to so call De Luxe room. The room is same as Superior with only different view. Both views are boring, what you could see is rooftops of houses. Beside this it is a hotel worth staying.
Good value for money and good location. Worth paying extra for the Deluxe Mountain View room. Would stay here again.
