Amrey Diagonal Hotel Barcelona

What we noticed after staying in this hotel for more than 5 times during 2 years is that the service is not so good. The front desk personnel is very unfriendly, and quite intimidating. The answer to any request is usually no: " no we do not serve room service today because we are doing brunch", "no we can not equivalate you your paid breakfast with the brunch because we don't " - no explanation, " no you can't have more than 25 C dergees in the room allthough this is very cold in BCN" , "no we do not have an extra shower cap " etc. So over all very "friendly"! The only thing I liked were the restaurant stuff that recognized us and were exceptional! Congratulation to them for keeping up the hotel standard. What a pitty. We won't go there anylonger.

Coming from Madrid driving was a bit it of a challenge but when we got there, Cyril who was at the reception showed us all the things we had to know and enabled us to get a cheap parking. Thanks Cyril. We enjoyed our brief stay...too short but this hotel is big and is value for money. Breakfast was A1 too. I will stay here again next time we are in Barcelona!

Everything went as advertised. We were very happy with the hotel itself and its location, for our purposes. Only negative was the incorrect front desk advice that we could catch a train to the airport from the nearby Metro station Clot. In fact that service is suspended for the summer. It meant a messy journey with baggage on the Metro instead, to get to a working railway station.

Perhaps the best hotel I have ever stayed...Excellent pricing!

About 300 metres from the Metro. Supermarket directly opposite. This is more like a 4* hotel than a 3*. No problem in leaving luggage for pick up later. Ideal if you're staying there pre cruise and don't want to have luggage with you for the day. About 15 Euros for a taxi to the port. Breakfast is expensive at 15 Euro but this really is a first rate hotel. Don't attempt to travel by train & metro from the airport. Get off the train and then taxi it.

very good hotel for short break. Conviniently located for local transport . Sufficient shops,restaurants,tapas bars around the area. Hotel syaf very helpful. Hotel itself very comfortable.

Air conditioning was set for a MINIMUM of 22 degrees with no possibility to lower. I could not sleep well because it was too warm. Unpleasant.

I was satisfied with the confort, cleanliness and facilities of this hotel. The breakfast was nice as well. The location was very good (in a quite and elegant area and very closed to the sea side). As a price it was clearly a very good offer. I enjoyed staying in Amrey Diagonal Hotel and I will soon preparing my vacation for next year in the same hotel for sure! I kindly recommend this hotel to everybody!!

Facilities in excellent condition and thorougly cleaned up. The room was big and beautiful and the air conditioning was good and easily adjustable. Not quite in the "tourist centre", but with good and quick connections (four stops to La Rambla) and a large shopping centre next to the hotel. Easy to reach with a car. Not the cheapest, but definitely very good value for the [your website] price if you want to stay in a more quality establishment. I'd choose this for my next visit as well.

The staff were all friendly, the room was huge, and break was brilliant. It was a great hotel, perfect all round. Will definately use this hotel again if I go to Barcelona.

Excellent Reception & Concierge service! The Staff was always friendly, fluent in English, giving good tips for getting around from hotel. Clear communication with billing. Fantastic buffet breakfast with variety and HOT CHOCOLATE. Housekeeping replenished very nice quality toiletries. Room and bathroom was spanking new, spacious and clean. We could even see Sagrada Familia from our room. Overall we felt very safe and happy. Definitely a 4* experience!

The hotel has very good location.

Staff were very friendly, rooms in perfect nick although new bedlinen wouldnt be a bad idea. 20 mins from La Ramblas if your walking or quick metro ride. Definitely recommend the hotel.

This was a very friendly hotel and rather swank. A shopping centre is across the street and the metro/tram/bus are all extremely close. Also nice factor was the safety despite being further away from the city center. Highly recommend.

We engoyed very much the hotel. It was very modern style, clean and pedant. The room was elegant and comfortable. Easy to get the hotel, near the metro station and tramp. A there was a lot of possibilities to taste the spanish foods. It was very near the sea. So we had a very nice holiday there. Thank you.

Staff were very friendly and keen to help. We have stayed there twice now and would recommend it to anyone.

Stayed there last year when brand new - staff were nice, hotel was spotless. A little out of the way but easily accessible via underground or a nice stroll along the beach. A very good Chinese restaurant (unfortunately called Ming) across road worth visit for huge portions at a reasonable price. Tip for getting from airport to hotel take the airport train to Clot station then take the metro one stop to Glories however if you have heavy luggage a taxi (around 25 EUR) may be a better bet.

A nice modern hotel. It could be placed anywere in the world but a very nice atmosphere. Modern but a nice style. I tried to rent the meeting room at the hotel för a short meeting with my students one day but it was very expensive. Perhaps there could be another pricelist for the guests...or perhaps it was. About the bokingsystem: website...it wasn´t that easy to book as a thouht it would be. Canselation of creditcards without any reasons.
