Amstel House has been open since July 2005. Built in Art Nouveau style the house dates back to 1914 and is located in the Old-Berlin city district called Tiergarten. Now, after two renovations, it is a modern hostel, which hosts groups, backpackers, families and single travellers.

The best way to get around is to use Berlin’s public transport system. With the day- ticket you can use all trains, trams, busses and ferries operated by the public transport authority.

Cancellations announced more than 4 weeks before arrival are free of charge. Cancellations announced less than 4 weeks are charged w/ the total balance due (100%). – In case of cancellations, the according cancellation fees will be charged to your credit card.*

Getting there:
From Hauptbahnhof: use exit “Washingtonplatz”, cross square., to get to the bus stop No. 5a. Get on bus “TXL” in direction Tegel Airport. Walk in the same direction as the bus is going on Turmstr. for 3 blocks. Turn right into Bremerstr. for 1 block and then turn left into Waldenserstr. The hostel is on the left in approximately 100m (walking distance from bus stop: 4 mins).
Car/Bus- Take the A2 in direction of Berlin. Exit A2 at junction AD WERDER and go straight to take the A10. Exit the A10 at junction AD NUTHETAL and go straight to take the A115 in direction BERLIN-ZENTRUM. Exit A115 at junction (10) AD FUNKTURM and drive straight ahead to take A100 in direction WEDDING/HAMBURG. Leave the A100 at junction (2) keep right to access Beusselstr. Turn left into Wiclefstr. After two blocks turn right into Emdener Str. Last turn left into Waldenserstr. Number 31 is on your right hand side.
Check-in Procedure:
24 Hours Reception. Check-in starts 3 p.m., but at any time we can store your luggage. A key deposit might be requested at check-in.
Bed sheets are included.
Car parking:
Car parking is possible for 7,50 Euro per car per night (subject to availability).
Child Policy:
The price per night per child (3-12 years old) is 12,00 Euro (breakfast is not included!)
