"This hotel is set up for Asians we found it very hard to make our wishes
known and it is also a long way from Shanghai ,the smoking habits are very bad as the hotel reeks of it and you cannot escape the smell. " - marie allen
"It was a very nice and friendly hotel. The staff was helpfull. However do not forgett to ask for breakfast tickets if the room should include breakfast! We stayed 13 nights and if we come back to Shanghai this is where we should stay again. " - Eva Larsson
"Great location- it's in the very Parisian French Quarter and a 5 minute walk from the metro. It is very pretty at night and my room, overlooking the front entrance was very quiet. The rooms were clean, although the carpet looked like it had seen better days, and as we were staying in winter the heating was good. There was a good desk with easily accessed cheap broadband. Breakfast is a bit of a free for all; you join others at large tables and help yourself to rather overstwewed tea and coffee from perculators, and to Chinese and English food although it leaves a bit to be desired! The reception staff were friendly and helpful when possible- writing down addresses in Chinese for the taxi drivers was useful although not always correct due to their varying levels of English comprehension. I was on business and would definitely return as it was the perfect base for us, near to everything including excellent restaurants, bars and banks, etc. " - Christina Force
